Did Malawi change its visa-free policy for the US, UK, and EU?
Yes. Effective January 2, 2026, Malawi revoked the 2024 visa-waiver scheme. Most non-SADC nationalities (including travelers from the US, UK, and EU) now require a visa. You must either apply for an eVisa in advance or, if your nationality is in Category 2, obtain a Visa on Arrival.
