Madagascar triples 15-day visa fee

Madagascar has tripled the fee for its 15-day eVisa, increasing the cost from US$10 to US$35. A pop-up notice on the Madagascar eVisa website states that effective February 16, 2026, the following new visa fee rates apply:

  • 0-15 days: US$35 (€30)
  • 16-30 days: US$41 (€35)
  • 31-60 days: US$47 (€40)
  • 61-90 days: US$59 (€50)

Increase applies only to the 15-day eVisa

While the portal lists all fee categories, the significant change is to the 15-day short-stay visa, which previously cost just US$10. Fees for 30, 60, and 90-day eVisas remain at their previous levels.

The increase applies exclusively to the electronic visa system. Madagascar's embassies and consulates abroad have not announced any changes to fees for visas issued through their offices or for visas granted upon arrival.

Travelers wishing to extend their stay in Madagascar will pay a fee of 210,000 ariary (MGA), which is approximately US$48.
