Purpose: The Papua New Guinea eVisa (also called the Easy Visitor Permit) is for travelers visiting Papua New Guinea for tourism activities like sightseeing, holidays, and visiting family.

When to apply: It’s recommended to apply at least 3 weeks in advance. It typically takes 10 working days to process when everything is in order.

Duration and extensions Depending on your nationality, you may apply for the 30 or the 60-day Papua New Guinea eVisa. Generally, extensions are not allowed.

Most foreign nationals, including U.S., European Union, and UK citizens, must obtain an eVisa before traveling to Papua New Guinea for tourism, business, medical treatment, study, work, or other purposes. Travelers from Canada, the United Kingdom and various Pacific island nations qualify for a visa on arrival.

General Papua New Guinea visa requirements are:
