Saint Kitts and Nevis visa policy

For many visitors, short stays are visa-free, while others benefit from St. Kitts and Nevis’s electronic travel authorization and electronic visa systems.

Nationals from visa-exempt countries, including many Caribbean, EU, and Commonwealth countries, can enter St. Kitts and Nevis for tourism or business visits for up to 90 days without a visa. However, from May 26, 2025, these travelers will need to apply for an ETA before arriving by air or sea. The ETA allows a single-entry stay of up to 90 days or until the passport expires, with a one-year multiple-entry option also available for eligible travelers.

For travelers from visa-required countries, the electronic visa (eVisa) system simplifies the process of visiting St. Kitts and Nevis for tourism or short business stays. Applicants complete the process online and receive approval, which they present upon arrival to receive the visa. The eVisa typically allows a single-entry stay of up to 30 days, with some multiple-entry options available depending on nationality and travel plans.

St. Kitts and Nevis does not offer consular sticker visas for general tourism or business travel, having transitioned fully to electronic systems for visitor entry. Travelers visiting for long-term work, study, or residence will need to obtain the appropriate permits or visas through separate procedures handled by the Ministry of National Security and Labor Department.

All travelers must enter St. Kitts and Nevis with a passport valid for at least six months beyond their arrival date, with at least one blank page for entry stamps. An online immigration and customs form (ED form) must be completed before arrival, and travelers may be asked for proof of onward or return travel. Yellow fever vaccination is required if arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.

Overstaying is taken seriously in St. Kitts and Nevis. Fines may apply for overstays, and significant violations can result in detention, deportation, or future entry bans. Travelers are encouraged to track their authorized stay closely and apply for extensions in advance if needed.

Please check with the nearest St. Kitts and Nevis embassy or consulate before making travel plans to confirm the latest entry requirements.
