Delivery format: Once approved, the Uzbekistan eVisa is issued electronically as a PDF document sent via email. Travelers must print a copy and present it along with their valid passport upon arrival in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan Tourist Visa*

The Tourist Visa (Type T) is for tourists from nationalities not eligible for the eVisa or those traveling in organized groups. A standard single-entry visa is valid for up to 30 days, while group versions (Type TG) require a minimum of 5 travelers. You must obtain this before travel through an Uzbek diplomatic mission.

This is for corporate professionals, international delegates, and business representatives visiting for temporary meetings or commercial negotiations. A single-entry visa is valid for up to 3 months, while a multiple-entry business visa can be valid for up to 1 year. You must obtain this before traveling from an embassy or consulate with an invite from a legal entity in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan Investment Visa*

This is for foreign investors and stateless persons who make large-scale capital contributions to the national economy. A multiple-entry visa is valid for up to 3 years and can be extended inside the country without exiting. Uzbekistan visa policy

Uzbekistan allows visa-free entry for citizens of several countries, but the length of stay varies by nationality. For example, citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, and Ukraine may enter visa-free (unlimited duration), while citizens of many other countries — including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and many EU countries — may enter visa-free for up to 30 days.

Travelers who are not visa-exempt must obtain a visa in advance, either through an Uzbek embassy/consulate or via the official eVisa system.

General Uzbekistan visa requirements are:

  • Passport (valid for at least 6 months beyond your arrival date)
  • A recent passport-style photograph
  • Airline confirmation
  • Valid email address

Requirements may vary depending on nationality and travel purpose.

FAQs

No, children under the age of 16 are granted a completely visa-free regime to enter Uzbekistan. They do not need an eVisa, provided they hold their own valid international biometric passport and are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The duration of the minor's stay will match that of their accompanying guardian (up to a maximum of 90 days). For teenagers who are 16 or 17 years old, the visa-free rule no longer applies, and they must have their own separate, individual Uzbekistan eVisa application submitted on their behalf.

The Uzbekistan eVisa is usually processed quickly. With iVisa, you can get your Uzbekistan eVisa in as little as 3 days (depending on your application and chosen delivery speed).

We recommend applying at least 6 days before your departure date to account for any unexpected government delays.

The eVisa allows a maximum stay of 30 days and must be used within 90 days of issue.
Yes, you can use your eVisa at international airports and major land border crossings. Make sure to carry a printed copy of your eVisa confirmation.
Generally, the 30-day visa-free stay and standard 30-day eVisas are non-extendable once you are in the country. If you wish to stay longer than 30 days, you must apply for a traditional long-term visa at an Uzbek embassy before traveling, or exit the country and re-enter if your nationality permits multiple visa-free entries within a specified window.

If denied, you will receive a notification via email. The most common reason for denial is a missing or invalid departure date. You can usually reapply by submitting a completely new application with corrected information.

iVisa offers denial protection. Our experts manually review your application before submission to prevent these common issues.

No. The eVisa is for tourism and short business visits only. If you plan to work, you'll need a work visa and local sponsorship.
If you fly with Uzbekistan Airways and stay in the airport’s transit zone for less than 5 days, you may not need a visa. Otherwise, an eVisa or Transit Visa is required (depending on nationality).

Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your permitted period of stay in Uzbekistan (though 6 months is highly recommended to align with airline boarding standards). Additionally, it must have at least one completely blank page for entry and exit stamps.

Once submitted, our team will review your documents and send your application to the government. After approval, you’ll receive your eVisa by email.
