Uzbekistan e‑Visa

Purpose: The Uzbekistan eVisa is an electronic visa issued to eligible foreign nationals traveling to Uzbekistan for tourism, business, or transit purposes.

Duration and extensions: The Uzbekistan eVisa is typically issued for a stay of up to 30 days and is valid for entry within 90 days from the date of issuance. Extensions are generally not granted.

Entries: The eVisa may be issued as a single-entry, double-entry, or multiple-entry visa, depending on the applicant’s selection and travel purpose.

Ports of entry: Uzbekistan eVisa holders may enter through designated international airports and land border checkpoints approved by Uzbek authorities, including Tashkent International Airport and major land crossings.

Delivery format: Once approved, the Uzbekistan eVisa is issued electronically as a PDF document sent via email. Travelers must print a copy and present it along with their valid passport upon arrival in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan Tourist Visa (T)*

The Tourist Visa is a traditional embassy visa that allows travelers to visit Uzbekistan for leisure, sightseeing, or visiting friends and family. It can be issued for single or multiple entries, usually valid for up to 30 days.

This visa meant for travelers that aren't eligible for the eVisa.

Uzbekistan Business Visa (B-2)*

This visa is designed for business travelers attending meetings and conferences or exploring trade and investment opportunities in Uzbekistan. It can be single or multiple-entry and valid for up to 12 months.

Uzbekistan Visa on Arrival (with pre‑approval)*

Travelers from countries not eligible for an eVisa may be able to receive a visa on arrival at certain Uzbek airports, but only with prior approval from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Uzbekistan Transit Visa*

This visa is for travelers passing through Uzbekistan en route to a third country. It typically allows a short stay of up to 5 days and requires proof of onward travel.

Uzbekistan visa policy

Uzbekistan allows visa-free entry for citizens of several countries, but the length of stay varies by nationality. For example, citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, and Ukraine may enter visa-free (unlimited duration), while citizens of many other countries — including the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and many EU countries — may enter visa-free for up to 30 days.

Not all travelers are visa-free: for instance, U.S. citizens are visa-free only if they are 55+ and traveling for tourism. Travelers who are not visa-exempt must obtain a visa in advance, either through an Uzbek embassy/consulate or via the official eVisa system.

Can I enter Uzbekistan through any border with an eVisa?

Can I extend or change my eVisa while in Uzbekistan?

No. The eVisa cannot be extended or changed. If you must stay longer or switch visa types, you must leave the country and apply again.
