Vietnam eVisa

Purpose: The Vietnam eVisa is an electronic visa issued to eligible foreign nationals traveling to Vietnam for tourism, business, or short-term visits. It allows travelers to obtain their visa online without visiting a Vietnamese embassy or consulate.

Duration and extensions: The Vietnam eVisa is valid for stays of up to 90 days and may be issued as a single- or multiple-entry visa. Extensions are generally not granted.

Entries: The eVisa may be issued as a single-entry or multiple-entry visa, depending on the applicant’s selection and approval.

Ports of entry: Vietnam eVisa holders may enter through designated international airports, land border crossings, and seaports approved by the Vietnamese government, including major airports such as Noi Bai (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh City), and Da Nang International Airport.

Delivery format: Once approved, the Vietnam eVisa is issued electronically linked to the traveler's passport. Travelers are advised to print a copy of the confirmation and present it, along with their valid passport, upon arrival in Vietnam.

Vietnam Tourist Visa (DL)*

The Vietnam Tourist Visa is a traditional embassy visa for eligible travelers visiting for leisure or sightseeing. It is available as a single or multiple entry and is typically valid for one or three months.

*We currently don't offer this visa.

Vietnam Visa on Arrival*

Vietnam Visa on Arrival (VOA), also known as a Landing Visa, allows eligible travelers to receive their visa upon arrival at a Vietnamese international airport, provided they have obtained a pre-approved authorization letter in advance. Unlike an eVisa or a visa issued by a Vietnamese embassy or consulate, the Visa on Arrival is only available to travelers entering Vietnam by air through designated international airports.

You must first apply online through a licensed travel or visa agency in Vietnam to obtain a visa approval letter (also called a pre-approval letter or invitation letter). Upon arrival, you present this letter at the airport to receive the official visa stamp in your passport. Most people find it more convenient to apply for the Vietnam eVisa online.

*We currently don't offer this visa.

Vietnam Business Visa (DN)*

This embassy visa is for eligible travelers visiting Vietnam for business activities, meetings, or short-term contracts. It can be valid for up to 12 months, with single or multiple entries.

*We currently don't offer this visa.

Vietnam offers an electronic visa (eVisa) for tourism, business, and short-term visits to citizens of many countries.

Vietnam grants visa-free entry to nationals of certain countries, including ASEAN member states and countries such as Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and several Nordic countries, for stays ranging from 14 to 45 days depending on nationality. Vietnam does not generally offer a Visa on Arrival without prior approval.

General Vietnam visa requirements are:

  • Passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry
  • Recent passport-size photo
  • Travel details (flight itinerary and accommodation address)
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of stay

FAQs

Some travelers can enter Vietnam without a visa for a limited time, usually between 15 and 45 days, depending on their nationality. You must apply for a visa in advance if you're not eligible.

With the Vietnam eVisa, you can stay up to 90 days. The number of entries you’re allowed depends on the option you choose during your application. Other visa types may offer longer stays but require additional documentation and approval.

Most eVisas cannot be extended. If you’re already in Vietnam and want to stay longer, you may need to leave and apply for a new visa. Some long-term visa categories may be extendable through local immigration offices.

Overstaying can lead to fines, travel delays, or restrictions on future visits. Knowing your visa expiration date and planning your departure is important.

If you're staying in the airport's international transit area and continuing your journey within 24 hours, you typically won’t need a visa. If you plan to leave the airport or your connection requires changing terminals, you may need a valid visa depending on your nationality.

Once you apply with us, our experts will review your information and documents to reduce the chance of errors or rejections. After that, we’ll submit your application and send you the approved visa once it’s ready.
