I’m staying in an Airbnb that doesn’t have a formal address. What should I enter?

Hi Susannah,

If you don’t have an address, enter the closest available address (street, neighborhood, or host’s contact info) and include your host’s name if possible.

Immigration mainly wants to know where you’ll be located during your stay, so provide the most accurate details you have. We hope this helps!

Can I fill out the Dominica ED Card a week before my trip? Or is that too early or lte?

Hi Dani, thanks for your question.

Officially, you should complete the form within 3 days before arrival in Dominica. However, if you fill out the form through iVisa, you can apply even earlier. We will submit your information securely on your behalf at the right time.

This means you won’t have to think about it anymore and have peace of mind that all your documents are taken care of.

I’m arriving by cruise ship in Dominica, do I need to do the online ED Card?

Hi Alan, that sounds like an awesome trip!

If you’re arriving by air, the ED Card is mandatory. Cruise passengers, however, typically have entry processing handled by the cruise line, so you may not need to complete the online form.

Always confirm with your cruise operator to be sure, but in most cases you won’t be asked to fill it out yourself.

People residing abroad can also get routine information from their nearest embassy or consulate if registered.

  • your contact details change,
  • your civil status changes,

Questions?

No. A landing card is not a visa. It is a mandatory entry form. Depending on your nationality, you may still need a visa in addition to completing the card.
Yes. Each traveler, including minors, must have a completed landing card. Parents or guardians can fill it out on their behalf.

After submitting the form, you will receive:

  • A confirmation
  • A QR code

You should save (or print) both the confirmation and QR code to present to immigration/customs when you arrive. Internet or WiFi may not be available at the airport so make sure you can access it offline.

The government system is designed to accept submissions within three days before travel. When applying through iVisa, you can submit it even earlier for your peace of mind. We will submit your details as soon as the window opens on your behalf, and send you the confirmation with QR code by email.
At your port of entry, present:
  • The confirmation and QR code (digital or printed)
  • Your passport
  • Any other travel documents (visa if required)
You should keep a printed or digital copy accessible (in email, on a phone, or printed). Through iVisa, your travel documents are always viewable through the app or in your online account for your convenience.
