Mauritius Travel Digital Form

Purpose: The Mauritius All-in-One Digital Travel Form is an online entry requirement for all travellers arriving in Mauritius. Its main purposes are:

  • To collect essential travel, personal and health information before arrival.
  • To streamline immigration, health and border procedures at entry (reducing paperwork and delays). *To replace older paper forms and combine multiple declarations into a single digital process.

When to apply: It’s recommended to apply at least 48–72 hours (3 days) before your arrival.

Duration and extensions The travel digital form does not itself grant a visa, stay duration, or extension, it is a pre-arrival declaration only. The duration of your stay in Mauritius will depend on your visa or passport nationality.

Entries: The digital form is valid for a single entry into Mauritius.

Ports of entry: Travelers can use the Travel Digital Form at any official Mauritian border crossing.

Delivery format: Once submitted and approved, you’ll receive a PDF with a QR code. You can show the QR code when traveling and arriving, carrying it either as a printed version or on your mobile device.

Mauritius Tourist Visa*

Mauritius has a relatively flexible visa policy for tourists and business travelers, especially from Europe, North America, and many parts of Asia. Most travelers don’t need a visa for short stays, but for long-term stays, study, work, or residence, specific visas are required.

Most nationalities (EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia, etc.) do not need a visa for tourism stays up to 60 or 90 days. For longer stays, a Tourist Visa can be applied for on arrival or at a consulate.

This visa allows holidays, visiting friends or family, and general sightseeing. It may be extended for a total of up to 180 days.

Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer this visa*

Mauritius Premium Visa (Digital Nomad Visa)*

Ideal for remote workers and long-stay visitors, the Mauritius Premium Visa allows stays of up to 1 year, renewable. You must prove you work remotely for a foreign employer or own a business outside Mauritius.

Applicants must have sufficient funds, valid health insurance, and no intent to enter the Mauritian labor market.

Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer this visa*

Mauritius Wedding Visa*

For foreign nationals from eligible countries, a Wedding Visa is required before arriving in Mauritius if they intend to marry a Mauritian citizen. If you’re from a visa-exempt country, you don’t need this special visa, and can enter as a tourist and apply within the country.

Note: You can't get legally married in Mauritius, even with this visa, if you're both not from Mauritius (for example, for a destination wedding).

Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer this visa*

Many foreign nationals, including U.S., European Union, and UK citizens, may enter Mauritius visa-free for short stays. Countries without visa-free travel must obtain a visa, and certain countries, like Nigeria, Indonesia, and Colombia, can obtain a Visa on Arrival. Citizens from India may obtain a Visa on Arrival when arriving in Mauritius.

All travelers entering Mauritius must have a Mauritius Travel Digital Form.

General Mauritius visa requirements are:

  • Passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival and at least two blank pages
  • Valid email address

FAQs

The Travel Digital Form is valid for a single entry and must be completed within 72 hours before arrival in Mauritius. Even if you’re eligible for visa-free entry, this form is mandatory for all travelers. It contains your immigration, health, and customs information, and you'll receive a QR code that must be shown on arrival.

If you’re unclear, you can contact us on WhatsApp – we're available 24/7.

Health insurance is not a requirement for short-term stays or visa-free tourists, but it’s strongly recommended. However, if you apply for a Premium Visa or any long-term stay permit, you must show proof of valid health insurance that covers you for the duration of your stay.
The form is processed almost instantly after submission. You’ll receive a QR code via email confirming your registration. However, mistakes or technical issues can cause delays, so we recommend submitting the form at least 48 hours before your flight to allow time for corrections if needed. We’ll process your Travel Digital Form as fast as possible.

Only if you're from a visa-exempt country. Most EU, UK, US, and Asian passport holders can stay up to 60 or 90 days without a visa. But the Travel Digital Form is still required.

However, some nationalities still need a tourist visa. Check the requirements via the government website.

No, the Travel Digital Form is not a work permit. If you want to live and work remotely from Mauritius, you must apply for the Mauritius Premium Visa, which is designed for digital nomads and long-stay visitors. It allows stays up to 12 months and requires proof of income from outside Mauritius, among other documents.

Yes, you can complete the Mauritius All‑in‑One Travel Digital Form when you arrive at the airport, but it's highly recommended to fill it out before your flight to avoid delays. If you haven’t submitted the form in advance, you can fill it out manually at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport during your arrival health screening.

Keep in mind this process can take 10–15 minutes per person, which may result in longer queues, especially during peak arrival times.

You can apply for your Travel Digital Form through the government or iVisa (or download our mobile app).

For other visas and documents, you’ll need to complete the application process through the government, pay the visa fee, and in some cases, schedule an interview at a Mauritius embassy or consulate.

Supporting documents like your passport, photo, and purpose of travel are required.

Not at this time. The Premium Visa must be applied for directly through the Mauritius Economic Development Board (EDB). The application is free and done online, but you’ll need to submit supporting documents, including proof of remote income, accommodation bookings, and travel insurance.
Overstaying your permitted duration without applying for an extension can result in fines, a permanent travel ban, or even detention. If you plan to stay longer, apply for an extension at the Passport and Immigration Office well before your visa-free period ends.

Our team of iVisa experts will review your documents to make sure you have the best chance of being approved.

We then send it to the government for processing on your behalf.

Once your form is approved, we’ll then email you your document.

In the meantime, download the iVisa app, so you can access your travel documents while you're on the go.
