Have a visa question? We'll provide the answer.
For the U.S. World Cup matches, your key requirement is still the right entry document (a B1/B2 visitor visa if you’re from Argentina).
Having an official match ticket can help you access FIFA PASS priority interview scheduling, which may get you an earlier embassy appointment, though it doesn’t guarantee approval or entry.

Questions?
How long can I stay in the U.S. with a B1/B2 Visa?
My B1/B2 visa application has been refused. Why can't I get my money back?
Do I need B1/B2 Visa if I’m only transiting through the United States?
My old passport has already expired with my B1/B2 visa to travel to the United States, must apply for a new visa?
Do I need a B1/B2 Visa or ESTA?
This depends on your passport.
- If your country is not in the VWP, or if you plan to stay longer than 90 days, you’ll need a B1/B2 Visa.
- If you’re from a Visa Waiver Program (VWP) country, you generally travel with an ESTA for tourism or short business trips up to 90 days.
Check your eligibility easily by clicking “Apply now” on this page, and apply instantly for the right document.
My passport with my U.S. B1/B2 visa was stolen, what should I do?
If you lose your passport with your United States visa, you must report it to the United States embassy in your home country. If you believe it was stolen, you must also report it to the police. The lost visa is permanently invalidated and cannot be transferred to your new passport.
Then, you must apply for a new B1/B2 visa by submitting a new application.
How early should I apply for my U.S. Visa?
As early as possible. Embassy backlog is the #1 reason travelers miss their preferred dates. Consider applying 3–6 months before as a rule of thumb.
Some locations have longer wait times, especially around holidays and summer travel. We help you track slots in real-time and book the earliest appointment possible, so you won’t have to stress and search manually.
If you apply early, you have breathing room for rescheduling, extra documents, or a second interview if ever needed. Early DS-160 completion and a well-prepared interview narrative helped approval.
What happens at the visa interview?
The interview is usually short, but it matters a lot. A consular officer will check that your trip is temporary and that you plan to return home. Expect questions like:
- Why are you going to the U.S.?
- How long will you stay?
- Where will you stay and who are you visiting?
- Who is paying for the trip?
- What ties bring you back home (job, studies, family, property)?
The key is simple, consistent answers that match your DS-160 and documents. iVisa helps you prepare a clear travel story and organize your supporting paperwork so you walk in confidently.
What are common reasons for B1/B2 denial, and how do I avoid them?
Most tourist/business visas are refused under “insufficient ties to home country.” That means the officer isn’t fully convinced you’ll return. Common triggers:
- Weak proof of stable work/study or income
- Vague or inconsistent travel purpose
- Insufficient funds compared to trip cost
- Previous overstays or immigration issues
How to avoid problems:
- Show clear home ties (job letter, enrollment, family responsibilities, assets, return plans)
- Keep your trip plan realistic and specific
- Make sure your DS-160 is accurate and matches your story
- Bring strong, simple supporting documents
Our experts review your full application for clarity and consistency, so you reduce avoidable mistakes and risks.
