  • Belize Travel Declaration
  • Belize Visitor Visa*
  • Belize Business Visa*
  • Belize Transit Visa*

Belize Travel Declaration

All travelers must complete the Belize Immigration Form (also known as the Travel Declaration) before entering the country. This applies whether you’re arriving by land, air, or sea. It’s a mandatory step for entry and replaces older paper-based systems.

You’ll need:

  • 🛂Valid passport: Must be valid for the duration of your stay
  • 🛬 Travel details: Including your accommodation and departure date
  • 📧 Email address: Where the confirmation and QR code will be sent
  • 💳 Payment method: To pay the iVisa service fee (the form itself is free) Submit the form before you travel and carry a digital or printed copy of the confirmation.

Belize Visitor Visa*

Travelers from visa-required countries, such as Nigeria, India, Bangladesh, Haiti, and Pakistan, must obtain a Visitor Visa before entering Belize.

There are two types:
  • Single-entry visa (valid for 30 days from issue)
  • Multiple-entry visa (usually valid for 6–12 months for frequent travelers)

*We currently don’t offer this visa.

Belize Business Visa*

While many nationalities can conduct short business visits visa-free, nationals from countries requiring a visa must obtain a Business Visa.

This is typically valid for:
  • 30 days for a single entry, extendable in Belize
  • Longer durations possible for repeat visitors or through sponsorship

Applicants may need a business invitation letter and proof of funds.

*We currently don’t offer this visa.

Belize Transit Visa*

If you're transiting through Belize en route to a third country and you're from a visa-required nation, a Transit Visa is needed.

  • Valid for up to 3 days
  • Requires proof of onward travel and a valid visa for the next destination

This must be arranged before arrival via a consulate.

*We currently don’t offer this visa.

Belize visa policy

Belize allows visa-free entry for up to 30 days for travelers from over 100 countries, including the US, UK, Canada, EU, and many Caribbean and Commonwealth nations. All visitors, including those exempt from visas, must complete the Belize Immigration Form before arriving.

Travelers from countries like India, Nigeria, Haiti, and Pakistan must apply for a Visitor Visa in advance, either as a single- or multiple-entry visa. Some travelers with valid US, Canadian, or Schengen visas may also enter visa-free for up to 30 days.

Longer stays require applying for a Visitor Permit extension in Belize. Those working in Belize need a Temporary Employment Permit, and retirees may apply under the QRP Program if they meet income and age requirements. Permanent Residency is possible after one year of legal stay.

All travelers must have a passport valid for at least three months, proof of onward travel, and enough funds. The Immigration Form is mandatory for entry, regardless of visa status.

FAQs

It depends on your nationality. Citizens from the US, Canada, EU, and many Commonwealth countries can enter Belize visa-free for up to 30 days.

However, citizens from certain countries, including Nigeria, Haiti, Pakistan, and India, must obtain a visa before arrival. All travelers, regardless of visa requirement, must complete the Belize Immigration Form before traveling.

The Belize Immigration Form is a mandatory travel declaration that must be completed by all visitors before entering the country. It collects essential information about your stay, such as contact details, accommodation, and travel history.

This digital form helps streamline border entry and supports health and immigration officials in managing traveler records.

Yes, the form is free to submit via the government portal. If you apply with iVisa, you’ll pay a small service fee in exchange for expert support, form review, and early access to ensure your form is completely error-free. This can help reduce the risk of last-minute issues before your trip.

The form is valid for one entry and must be completed for each trip to Belize. If you leave and plan to return again, you’ll need to submit a new form. Make sure to apply within the recommended time frame before your journey—typically within 72 hours of arrival.

If you’re unclear, you can contact us on WhatsApp – we're available 24/7.

We recommend applying at least 2 days before your trip.

iVisa will review your application and notify you immediately if anything needs to be updated before submission, helping you avoid setbacks.

We’ll process your eVisa as fast as fastest processing speed – you’ll see the exact time during checkout.

You can apply for your eVisa through the government or iVisa (or download our mobile app).

For other visas, you’ll need to complete the application process on the government platform, pay the visa fee, and in some cases, schedule an interview at a Belize embassy or consulate.

Supporting documents like your passport, photo, and purpose of travel are required.

Yes, the Belize Immigration Form is required regardless of how you enter the country. Whether you arrive by plane, car, or cruise ship, you must present the approved form at immigration. Failing to do so may result in delays or denied entry.

Our team of iVisa experts will review your documents to make sure you have the best chance of being approved.

We then send it to the government for processing on your behalf.

Once approved, we’ll then email you your document.

In the meantime, download the iVisa app, so you can access your travel documents while you're on the go.
