Learn More: ETIS
The French Polynesia ETIS was created to screen and test international arrivals when Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea, and other islands of French Polynesia reopened entrance to tourists from different countries around the world.
Even though a 14-day mandatory isolation period is no longer required for all travelers, all passengers must declare to have tested negative for COVID-19 through a PCR test result performed within 72 hours prior to departure.
Other health and safety protocols and requirements include certifying that you don’t have any symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 (fever, tiredness, body ache, cough, sore throat, loss of smell or taste, diarrhea, conjunctivitis, headache, shortness of breath, rash or discoloration of fingers or toes, difficulty breathing) before boarding, or that you will report its presence given the case. Keep in mind that these declarations should be validated by an individual medical result issued by a health authority in your country of residence.
ETIS must also be showcased before boarding to avoid inconveniences. All travelers must adhere to the country’s safety protocols.
To acquire the French Polynesia ETIS, passengers will need to provide information about their health status and flight details. You must have a confirmed flight ticket to submit your ETIS application.
Once you complete your application, we’ll forward the ETIS to your email so you can show it to the government authorities upon your arrival in French Polynesia.
Required Documents to Apply
A current valid passport, with at least 6-month validity.
A credit/debit card or a PayPal account.
All travelers entering French Polynesia are required to present the ETIS and the associated QR Code. We will send them to you within three days of your flight.
One ETIS per adult is required. If you are traveling with a minor, his/her information will be included in your ETIS. If children are traveling alone, they’ll need to fill out the form and answer further questions about their tutors.
It DOES NOT replace a visa. If your country requires a visa, the immigration officers will ask for your Visa when you enter the country. Keep in mind some nationalities will require a paper visa. If that is your case, we suggest you contact your local embassy.
At the airport, you must show the QR Code that we will bring you, in order to validate your trip.
It is highly recommended that you keep your Form and the associated QR Code with you either as a soft copy (smartphone, tablet, etc.) or as a hard copy in case of any failure in the system.
You will have to present a COVID-19 PCR test with a negative result performed within 72 hours prior arrival. As well as a document certifying that you don't have any COVID-19 symptoms.

In Tahiti, we recommend you to visit Papeete (it means water basket), which is the bustling capital of the island. Papeete has many hotels, spas, restaurants, nightclubs, and boutiques. It’s basically the commercial point of the island, so you’ll surely enjoy it once you visit it. Tahiti is also popular thanks to its relaxed atmosphere and its gentle citizens. On this island, you’ll often see people smiling, so stress is not common. You can enjoy many activities here including water sports, trekking to the mountains, or even guided visits to the Paul Gauguin Museum. Just don’t forget to always be ready with your documents in case they are required, including the passport and the French Polynesia ETIS. Near Tahiti, you can explore Moorea, another popular place for adventurers. This island has multiple mountains that look like high and sharp green spires. You can also find beautiful waterfalls that tumble down greenish cliffs. But, just like any other island in French Polynesia, you can also find a deep-blue lagoon that will make you fall in love with the island instantly. This island also has small pastel-painted houses with gorgeous gardens that will catch your attention quickly. For your convenience, you can find a lot of luxury resorts as well. We recommend you to always bring your documentation in case there’s an emergency, especially the passport and the French Polynesia ETIS. Keep in mind that in the exotic Moorea you can find the popular Tiki Village with its multiple activities (including folk dances and food tasting) and Ōpūnohu Bay, an impressive place surrounded by turquoise waters and vast vegetation. In this bay, you can go trekking to Mount Belvedere, a famous spot for visitors. There are other important small islets in the Society Islands, such as Raiatea, Tupai, Maupiti, Taha'a, Huahine, and Tetiaroa. Each of these islands has its charms, and what we can assure you is that the beaches are the main attraction. The white sands and the calm of the blue waters make these beaches a paradise for anyone. You can visit them at any time of the year, as long as you are careful with your planning. Don't forget your passport and the French Polynesia ETIS. As a recommendation, you should not miss the walks to Maupiti, as it is the westernmost volcanic island of the archipelago, and it’s only 40 km from Bora Bora. Maupiti is in the middle of a lagoon that’s surrounded by five low islets. This place has beautiful coral reefs and it opens to the ocean by two notable paths from any high point on the island. It’s something quite exotic that easily attracts anyone. You also can't miss the Robert Wan Pearl Museum, a place dedicated to bringing you interesting facts about the history of pearls and how they ended up being so important in society. All this without mentioning the other missing islands such as the Tuamotu Islands, the Gambier Islands, the Marquesas Islands, and the Austral Islands. Keep in mind that all of these islands are less crowded than the previous ones, so they can be an excellent option for a total escape. Even so, to enter them it’s still necessary to have a valid passport and the French Polynesia ETIS. But, there shouldn’t be stress about this online document. You can easily apply for the French Polynesia ETIS by using iVisa’s service. With iVisa, you only need an electronic device and WiFi connection to apply for the French Polynesia ETIS immediately. Aside from that, there might be nothing else required than your passport. However, we still recommend you to check our website to verify if there are no other documents needed.

Now more than ever, the process of traveling has become a bit more complicated than what it used to be. As countries keep changing their regulations, paperwork keeps growing, and so do everyone’s stress levels.
For now, travel might feel different in several ways. People can expect to explore a world of face masks, social distancing, closed businesses, and 14-day quarantines.
Even so, iVisa.com firmly believes that traveling is one of the top ways to improve on personal and professional levels. Traveling makes you step out of your comfort zone and develop a sense of independence that will ultimately reflect on your decisions and the way you look at life in general. Traveling is indeed a form of education that can’t be learned by watching television or reading a book. It teaches important lessons and insights regarding cultures and traditions, touching the realms of history, economics, and geography and exposing you to different lifestyles and worldviews from your own. For life’s real education always happens outside your own four walls.
If you’re planning to travel soon, you’ve probably googled whether borders are open, which papers you need to present, and where you have to go to obtain that inescapable travel document. We want you to go out and buy that plane ticket, so everything else turns out to be an incredible adventure. Just don’t overthink it and let us take care of the rest. No busy lines at the airport, no queues at the embassy. Just a five-minute questionnaire that you can fill out from the comfort of your own home or anywhere in the world.
