What is the Indonesia Electronic Visa on Arrival (eVoa)?
The Indonesia eVoa (Electronic Visa on Arrival) is an online visa system that allows eligible travelers to get a visa before their arrival in Indonesia. It offers a convenient and time-saving option for those who want to skip the traditional Visa on Arrival process at the airport (goodbye queues!).
One of the many benefits of this visa is that it allows you to travel by air, sea, or land.

Who is visa-exempt for Indonesia?
Travelers from ASEAN member countries do not need a visa for Indonesia. These include Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Cambodia, Brunei, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam.
You need to only show your passport (which has to be valid for another six months) and a return or onward ticket. You can stay in Indonesia without a visa for up to 30 days.
Do children and minors need to apply for this Indonesian visa?
Children and infants also need to have a visa to visit Indonesia if they come from an eligible country. Parents/legal guardians can apply on their behalf. Click ‘Add another person’ during the process to apply as a family.
How long is the Indonesia Electronic Visa on Arrival (eVoa) valid?
This is a Single entry visa. That means that you can only enter Indonesia once with this travel document.
You must enter the country within 90 days after issuance and the permitted stay is 30 days per entry.
Can I extend the Indonesia eVoa?
Yes. The visa can be extended once in Indonesia for another 30 days at designated entry points by paying the visa fee again.

Indonesia entry restrictions or requirements
There are currently no COVID-19 testing or vaccination requirements for travelers entering Indonesia.
Immigration officials may ask you for proof of onward travel (such as a return or onward flight ticket) upon arrival. Some airlines have refused to board passengers without evidence of this.
Differences between the Visa on Arrival (e-Voa) and other Indonesian visas
The Indonesia Visa on Arrival (eVoA), the Indonesian eVisa, and the Indonesia Visa are three different types of visas that allow foreign visitors to enter Indonesia. Here are the key differences between them:
- Visa on Arrival (eVoa): The VoA can be obtained upon arrival at designated entry points in Indonesia, such as Ngurah Rai International Airport.

The VoA allows for a maximum stay of 30 days per entry in Indonesia. However, it can be extended for an additional 30 days at an immigration office or online.

For Indonesia eVOA, the online application currently only allows you to apply for an initial 30-day visa, which is why you’re seeing that option.
However, the good news is that the eVOA can be extended once for an additional 30 days, giving you a total stay of up to 60 days. You can apply for the extension online through the Indonesian immigration portal or at a local immigration office while in Indonesia.
So the best approach is to apply for the 30-day eVOA here, and then plan to extend it once you’re in Indonesia if you wish to stay longer.

If your Bali visa shows specific entry dates, you’ll need to enter within that period, otherwise, you may need to apply for a new visa.
If your visa only lists a validity period (for example, 90 days from the issue date), it should still be fine as long as it hasn’t expired by December 1st. So if the issue date was September 1st for example, it will be okay with a December 1st arrival date.
To be sure, please check the validity dates printed on your visa.

If you arrived in Indonesia on December 29th with an eVOA, it's valid for 30 days and can be extended once for an additional 30 days.
To extend your eVOA, you should apply online through the Molina portal before your current visa expires. Make sure you have your passport details and current visa information ready.
After submitting your application and paying the extension fee, you'll receive confirmation of your extended stay.

Since you're entering Indonesia multiple times during your cruise and then flying out from Bali, the standard Electronic Visa on Arrival (eVOA) might not cover all your entries. The eVOA is typically valid for a single entry and a stay of up to 30 days.
For multiple entries, you might need to apply for a Multiple Entry Visa through the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration. This visa allows multiple entries over a one-year period, with each stay not exceeding 60 days.

Unfortunately, it isn’t. The Indonesia eVOA can be extended only once for an additional 30 days. After this extension, if you wish to stay longer, you would need to leave Indonesia and re-enter with a new visa, as the eVOA does not permit a second extension.
