FAQs

The Saudi Tourist eVisa allows Muslim travelers to perform Umrah outside of the official Hajj season. It cannot be used to perform Hajj. A dedicated Hajj Visa is required for pilgrimage during the Hajj period, and entry is strictly regulated by the Saudi authorities.
The Saudi Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) is available to eligible UK passport holders. It allows a single-entry stay of up to 6 months for tourism, business meetings, short-term study, or Umrah outside of the Hajj season.
Yes. Travelers planning to perform Hajj must obtain a specific Hajj Visa through approved channels. Tourist visas, EVWs, and other visa types cannot be used for Hajj during the official pilgrimage season.
If you are not eligible for the Saudi Tourist eVisa or the Electronic Visa Waiver, you must apply for a visa through a Saudi embassy or consulate. This may include business, work, study, family visit, or other long-term visa categories. Requirements and processing times vary by nationality and visa type.
Transit rules depend on your nationality, length of layover, and whether you plan to leave the airport. Some travelers may remain in the international transit area without a visa, while others may require a Saudi Transit Visa if leaving the airport or staying longer during a layover.
Overstaying your visa in Saudi Arabia can result in fines, possible detention, deportation, and future entry restrictions. Travelers must leave the country before their authorized stay expires.
