Differences between the Visa on Arrival (e-Voa) and other Indonesian visas
The Indonesia Visa on Arrival (eVoA), the Indonesian eVisa, and the Indonesia Visa are three different types of visas that allow foreign visitors to enter Indonesia. Here are the key differences between them:
- Visa on Arrival (eVoa): The VoA can be obtained upon arrival at designated entry points in Indonesia, such as Ngurah Rai International Airport.
The application is done at a dedicated VoA counter upon arrival, where the necessary forms and fees are processed. It is also possible to get it online through us to avoid queues.
The VoA allows for a maximum stay of 30 days per entry in Indonesia. However, it can be extended for an additional 30 days at an immigration office or online.
The Visa on Arrival fee varies depending on the country of origin and is paid upon arrival at the designated airport counter. The fee is generally lower compared to the regular Indonesia eVisa.
- Indonesia eVisa: This electronic visa is available for only a few nationalities. The Indonesia eVisa requires applying online and usually involves submitting the required documents, including a completed application form, passport, supporting documents, and payment of the visa fee.
The eVisa provides different durations of stay depending on the visa category and purpose of the visit. The duration may range from 30 days to multiple years, depending on the eVisa type and the approval granted by the Indonesian authorities.
The eVisa total fee includes the visa fee and a service fee charged by the eVisa platform. The total cost is paid online during the application process. The fees can vary depending on the nationality and the type of eVisa being applied for.
- Indonesia Visa: The regular Indonesia Visa requires applying in advance at an Indonesian embassy or consulate in your home country or country of residence.
The application process involves submitting the required documents, including a completed application form, passport, supporting documents, and payment of the visa fee. The visa will be affixed to your passport before you travel to Indonesia.
