Kosovo was a disputed territory in Serbia, but it declared independence in 2008. As a tourist, you can find plenty of things to do. UNESCO has several World Heritage Sites in Kosovo, but one of the best things about the country is that 11% is protected as a national park. After all, nature will always be an attraction for tourists everywhere. You can go hiking in the Sharr Mountains. The Brezovica ski resort is located in the area, which makes the place ideal for winter vacations. Another attraction we recommend is the Mirusha Waterfalls. It is situated on the river with the same name.

Before you travel to Kosovo, you need to learn about its visa requirements and find out whether or not you need a visa. According to Kosovo’s visa policy, all travelers must obtain a visa from the nearest diplomatic mission of Kosovo. However, the policy also contains a list of visa-exempt nationalities. They can travel to Kosovo without a visa as long as their trip does not exceed 90 days within a 180-day period. Visa exemption is also given to diplomatic and service passport holders.

To learn if you are visa exempt or not, you can read the visa policy of Kosovo. It is quite accessible. However, using iVisa’s Visa Checker is more accessible. All you have to do is click on the Visa Checker button you see in the top right corner and fill in the boxes. You must select your nationality from the drag-down menu on the left, and on the right, you must choose Kosovo as your destination. The result will tell you if you need a visa or not. If you do, you will be given some useful information such as a list of the nearest embassies where you can apply.

Since electronic visas are not available for Kosovo, iVisa cannot process visa applications. Nevertheless, we still want to be of assistance in any way that we can, which is why our customer support is at your disposal. The service is available 24/7 and it is entirely free of charge.

In case you do need a visa to travel to Kosovo, you must inquire about the requirements so that you can make sure you meet them. You can find a lot of information online, but we advise you to use it as a reference only. The info you see online is not always the most reliable. Thus, we recommend that you call the issuing authority and ask your questions there. They can give you the most legitimate answers. Meanwhile, what we can tell you is that all travelers who take a trip to Kosovo need to have a passport that does not expire for at least another 6 months from the date of arrival.

Unfortunately, we cannot actively help you to get your visa for Kosovo, but we hope that the information above gives you a starting point. Feel free to contact us for further information.
