iVisa.com Recommends

Malawi has an incredible cultural heritage most people don’t know about, that is why we recommend when visiting the country that all travelers book one day at the Cultural and Museum Centre Karonga, located in Karonga. In this museum, you will discover numerous fossils found around this city, among the highlights of the collection is the skeleton of Malawisaurus, an endemic species of the country, and the pride of the local archaeologists. When you book this destination you will have an experience like no other in the country, from the beginning of the dinosaurs to the democratic constitution of the country. Step by step you will learn about each of these processes and historical milestones. Following a path in the shape of a giant snake, you will see exhibitions such as prehistoric human remains, samples of local warriors' clothing, instruments used in those times such as smoking pipes, hunting tools, and tools of war. You will also see colorful murals from local artists, nowadays considered modern but with a traditional approach and vision. Learn a little more and teach others what you have learned at the Karonga Cultural and Museum Centre.
