What Documents Do I Need for the e-Visa Application?

In order to complete the e-visa application, you will need to scan the following documents and upload them to your application:

  • Photo
  • Copy of passport details page
  • Evidence of accommodation during your stay in Malawi

If you are applying as a minor or for a minor, you will also need to scan and upload

  • The minor's birth certificate
  • The minor's legal guardian's passport page
  • Consent letter

How Much Do I Have to Pay for a Visa?

If you are from a country that requires a visa for travel to Malawi, you will be prompted by the e-visa application to choose a processing speed. Each processing speed has a different price; that price is inclusive of both the cost of the visa and any processing fees:

  • Standard Processing Pricing: USD $109.99
  • Rush Processing Pricing: USD $147.99
  • Super Rush Processing Pricing: USD $200.99

How Quickly Will My Application Be Processed?

There are three different processing speeds for the Malawi e-visa application:

The e-visa for Malawi allows its holders a Multiple Entry.

When Does My Malawi Visa Expire?

Your Malawi e-visa will remain valid for 90 days after issued, starting from the day it was issued.

What Are the Passport Requirements?

The immigration department of Malawi requires that you have a passport that is valid for 6 months after the date you arrive in the country.

What Is the Longest I Can Stay in Malawi with an e-Visa?

The Malawi e-visa allows travelers a max stay of 90 days Per Entry.
