Nauru, like many countries, introduced new compulsory travel documents due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Here is everything you need to know about the Nauru health declaration form.

The tiny island country in Micronesia, northeast of Australia, Nauru draws tourists in with its stunning coral reef and white-sand beaches fringed with palms. As a result, officials in Nauru have reduced some of their COVID-19 restrictions.

However, due to the pandemic, Nauru introduced the need for a health declaration form to help with disease control in the country. Here is everything you need to know before applying for the Nauru Health Declaration Form with iVisa.

What is the Nauru Health Declaration Form?

Due to the pandemic, many countries decided to implement mandatory regulations for entry over and above the usual visa requirements. Among the new documents needed to travel are the compulsory health forms.

The document is a sworn declaration of health to confirm the traveler's plans for their stay and state of health. Please note that the health declaration form does not replace a visa. Nauru's health declaration should be completed before your flight departure, as a completed health declaration must be presented before boarding.

These forms can be complex to find and tedious to complete. But don’t worry, iVisa has simplified the application process for you to complete the Nauru declaration form.

Who needs a health declaration form to enter Nauru?

All passengers planning to visit Nauru must complete the health declaration form before traveling to the island. Each person, including minors, must fill out an individual form. In the case of minors who are too young to fill it out themselves, then their parents or guardians may complete the form on their behalf.

How long is the health declaration form valid?

Health declaration forms are single entry forms, and you will need to reapply for a new one every time you enter the country.

Apply for the Nauru health declaration form

Air passengers must show the completed form to immigration authorities when they land. This means it must be completed days before their trip, so the best way to do this is online.

The information provided in the application must be in English. However, ensuring that all sections are completed accurately can be challenging and stressful, so we recommend using our easy application process instead. iVisa's process takes less than 10 minutes.

Other COVID-19 regulations in Nauru

Remember that Nauru still requires facemasks to be worn in all public settings, with exceptions for eating and drinking. Here are other things to be aware of:

  • Complete a PCR test within 72 hours of departure. The PCR test must be a Naso/Oropharyngeal swab, not just a saliva sample.

  • A negative result needs to be shown at the time of check-in.

  • When you arrive at Nauru airport you’ll go through a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). If you tested positive you will do a 13 day quarantine in a government facility. If you tested negative you can enter the country and the next day you’ll have to do a PCR test at the Public Health Department.

  • Provide proof of vaccination with an international vaccination certificate as you must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days before entering the country.

  • From 1st June 2022, all minors aged 12 years and older will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before travel.

  • Any traveler who has recently recovered from Covid-19 in the last 3 months is required to complete the Certificate of Recovery Form.

  • Travelers should keep an eye on the CDC website for updates and recommendations about traveling during COVID-19.
