Montenegro grants visa-free travel to Kazakhstanis

Montenegro has introduced a temporary visa-free regime for citizens of Kazakhstan, allowing visits of up to 30 days during the upcoming summer season.

According to Qazinform News Agency, the Montenegrin government officially approved the decision on April 17, 2026. The arrangement permits Kazakhstani passport holders to enter, transit through, and stay in Montenegro without a visa between May 1 and October 1, 2026.

The news was confirmed by Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry press service.

What Kazakhstani travelers need to know

The visa-free period coincides with Montenegro's peak tourist season. Kazakhstani travelers must carry a valid passport or travel document to enter the country.

Those planning stays longer than 30 days will still need to obtain the appropriate visa before traveling.
