The Puerto Rico B1/B2 Visa is a multiple-entry travel document that allows you to enter Puerto Rico and it is a combination of a tourist and business visa.

Citizens from countries that are part of the Visa Waiver Program don’t need to apply for the Puerto Rico B1/B2 Visa, but they will need to apply for an ESTA.

In some cases, applicants do not need to go in person to leave their documents; that decision depends on The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The DHS is the only one who can decide on the interview appointment date. Currently, some locations have an interview waitlist of more than 12 months.

Do I need a Puerto Rico Visa if I’m only transiting through Puerto Rico?
The nonimmigrant visa for travelers in immediate and continuous transit through Puerto Rico is the Transit (C) visa. You can use a Puerto Rico Visa to transit in the territory if you have one.
My old passport has already expired. My visa to travel to Puerto Rico is still valid but in my expired passport. Do I need to apply for a new visa with my new passport?
No, you don’t. You’ll need to carry both of your passports – the expired one with the valid visa and the current valid passport. The valid visa on the old passport must meet the purpose of the trip, and it should be in good condition, not damaged.
My visa will expire while I am in Puerto Rico. Is there a problem with that?
Your visa cannot expire while you are in Puerto Rico, you will be considered illegal if you overstay your visa. That's why if it's about to expire you will have to apply for renewal right away, and you can do it with us.
My passport with my visa was stolen; what should I do?
You have to report the loss or theft to the Puerto Rico Embassy. If it was stolen, you must also report it to the police. Then, you must apply for a new visa by submitting a new application.
My visa was damaged. What should I do?
You must apply for a new visa. You’ll need to fill out a new application and pay the fee, just like the last time.
