Purpose: The Qatar Tourist eVisa allows eligible travelers to visit Qatar for tourism, leisure, or short family visits.

When to apply: It must be obtained before travel. We recommend applying at least a few days before departure.

Processing time: Most applications are processed within a few business days, though processing times may vary depending on nationality and application volume.

Duration and extensions: The permitted length of stay depends on nationality and visa approval. Extensions may be possible through Qatari immigration authorities, subject to approval.

Entries: Typically issued as a single-entry visa.

Delivery format: This is a digital visa issued online. Travelers must present the approved eVisa upon arrival in Qatar.

GCC Resident Visa (Hayya A2)*

The GCC Resident Visa (Hayya A2) is available to residents of Gulf Cooperation Council countries who meet specific eligibility criteria. It allows short stays in Qatar for tourism purposes and must be approved before travel through the Hayya platform.

The Visa for Companion of a GCC Citizen (Hayya A4) allows eligible individuals traveling with a GCC national to enter Qatar for short stays. It must be applied for in advance through the Hayya platform and is subject to eligibility requirements.

Qatar Transit Visa*

The Qatar Transit Visa allows eligible travelers transiting through Hamad International Airport to enter Qatar for a short stay between connecting flights. It is typically valid for up to 96 hours and must be approved in advance if required.

Most travelers must obtain an approved visa before traveling to Qatar, unless they are eligible for visa-free entry based on nationality. The Qatar Tourist eVisa must be secured before departure for eligible travelers who do not qualify for visa-free entry. U.S. citizens are visa-exempt for short stays in Qatar.
