Qatar Tourist eVisa
The Qatar Tourist eVisa (Hayya A1) is designed for travelers visiting Qatar for tourism, leisure, or visiting family and friends.
With this visa, you can:
- 🕌 Explore Qatar’s museums, markets, and modern attractions
- 👨👩👧👦 Visit family or friends residing in Qatar
- 🎟️ Attend exhibitions, sports events, or cultural festivals
The eVisa does not permit work or study in Qatar. For employment, study, or long-term stays, you will need to apply for a different visa directly with the Qatari authorities.
The tourist eVisa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue and allows a maximum stay of 30 days in Qatar. Travelers may request an extension for an additional 30 days, subject to approval.
To apply for the tourist eVisa, you will need:
- 🛂 A passport valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date
- 📸 A recent passport photo (white background recommended)
- 📝 Basic personal and travel details
- ✈️ Airline confirmation
- 🏨 Proof of accommodation
- 💳 Payment for the visa fee and iVisa service fee
GCC Resident Visa (Hayya A2)*
Purpose: Tourism for residents of GCC countries (non-GCC nationals)
Validity: 90 days from approval date
Entries: Single
Extension: Extendable once for 30 days
Additional info: Applicant must hold a valid residency permit from a GCC country; employment proof often required

Visa with ETA (Hayya A3)*
Purpose: Tourism for passport holders with valid residence permits or visas from the US, UK, Schengen Zone, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand
Validity: 30-day stay within 30 days of approval
Entries: Single
Extension: Extendable once for 30 days
Additional info: Valid visas or residence permits from qualifying countries must have at least 30 days’ validity upon arrival

Visa for Companion of GCC Citizen (Hayya A4)*
Purpose: Visit Qatar accompanied by a GCC national sponsor (family or companion)
Validity: 90 days from approval date
Entries: Single
Extension: Extendable once for 30 days
Additional info: Companion must enter Qatar with the GCC citizen; proof of relationship or sponsorship required

Purpose: Transit stays in Qatar between flights
Validity: 5 to 96 hours

Entries: Single-entry initially, converts to a residence permit

Purpose: Long-term residence for spouse, children, and dependents of a Qatar resident
