Do I need a Seychelles Travel Authorization even if I don't need a visa?
Yes. Seychelles is visa-free for all nationalities, but the Travel Authorization is mandatory for everyone. It is a separate security requirement that replaces the old paper arrival forms.
Do I need a visa for Seychelles?
No. If you're visiting the Seychelles for tourism, business, or family visits, you don't need a visa. However, you must have a Seychelles Travel Authorization for entry.
Do I need a yellow fever certificate to travel to the Seychelles?
Only if you are traveling to the Seychelles from a country with a risk of yellow fever transmission. If you have only transited through a risky country (like Ethiopia) without leaving the airport, you typically do not need it.

Yes. Upon arrival, you are granted a Visitor's Permit valid for 3 months for free. You can extend this in 3-month increments (up to 12 months total) at the Immigration Office in Victoria for a fee of approximately SCR 5,000 (about $370).
How will I receive the Seychelles Travel Authorization?
Your authorization is linked to your passport number digitally, and you'll receive a QR code which you must show to the airline upon boarding. You can also find a copy of your Travel Authorization QR code and confirmation in your iVisa dashboard if applied through us.
How long can I stay in Seychelles?
Most tourist visits allow for a stay of up to 3 months. However, your maximum allowed stay is determined by the specific Visitor's Permit issued upon arrival.
When should I apply for the Seychelles Travel Authorization?
The application window opens 30 days before your arrival. We recommend applying at least 48 to 72 hours before your flight to account for any processing delays. When submitting your details to iVisa earlier, we can process your application exactly when the window opens.
Do children/minors need a Seychelles Travel Authorization?
Yes. Every traveler, including infants and children, must have their own submission. Parents can complete the form on behalf of their children. You can use iVisa's "Add another person" feature to easily manage applications for the whole family in one session.
Can I reuse my Seychelles Travel Authorization?
No. It is for single entry only. You must complete a new Seychelles Travel Authorization registration every time you enter the country by air or sea.
Do cruise ship or private yacht passengers need a Travel Authorization?
Yes. Even if you are only stopping for a day and returning to the ship at night, you must have an approved Travel Authorization to disembark at the port. Private yachts must upload their boat papers and a crew/passenger list. Once you reach Seychelles waters, you must proceed directly to the designated port of entry for immigration clearance, where you will present your TA QR code.
