Will the South Africa eVisa be a multiple-entry visa?
iVisa | Updated on Aug 24, 2023

If you are interested in traveling to South Africa soon, you should know that the government decided to introduce the electronic visa system in November 2019. Unfortunately, we do not know much about the South Africa eVisa at this time. While we know that it goes live in a few weeks, the details are yet to be released. However, we will tell you everything we know so far.

South Africa

First of all, there is no list of eligible nationalities yet. We know that the visa will be available for multiple nationalities, but the only one we are sure of is Kenyan, as they were chosen for the pilot program. As soon as the pilot program is successfully completed, more nationalities will follow.

Now, to the question that started the article, we do not know if the South Africa eVisa will be a multiple-entry visa. The information that is found online says that it will be since the South Africa eVisa is supposedly valid for 10 years, but we do not want to speculate. We will let you know for certain as soon as that information becomes 100% reliable.

We do have information about some of the requirements for the eVisa. According to South Africa’s visa policy, all applicants must have a valid passport, and it must remain valid for at least another 30 days from the intended departure date from South Africa. Two blanks pages are also necessary for stamping.

The requirement involving a passport is a general requirement from the South African government. To apply through iVisa, you will also need two things. The first one is an e-mail address. When you apply online for an electronic visa, the document arrives via e-mail in PDF format. You are required to print it out before you leave for South Africa. The second thing you will need is a means of payment so you can pay online. You will be pleased to learn that iVisa is pretty flexible about that. While you can use a credit or debit card, you can also pay with PayPal, Alipay, or WeChat. Whichever you find most convenient.

Once all requirements are met, you are going to have to fill in an application form. iVisa is creating a short and stress-free form so that you will only need to spend a few minutes to complete it. Plus, as always, our customer support service will be at your disposal 24/7 and entirely free of charge if you have questions or concerns.

The bottom line is that we cannot tell you if the South Africa eVisa will be a multiple-entry visa or not. Not for sure, anyway. But, as new information comes to light, we will be more than happy to let you know. Check back with us soon for more details on the South Africa eVisa.
