Find the right Tajikistan visa for your trip and let iVisa handle the paperwork, review, and government filing.

Whether you need a visa for Tajikistan depends on your nationality and the purpose of your trip. Most eligible travelers visit on the Tajikistan eVisa for tourism or business. If your trip includes the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (the Pamir Mountains), you also need the GBAO permit, which you can add to your eVisa during the application.
Start your application and iVisa will confirm exactly which Tajikistan travel document you need based on your nationality and trip, then prepare, review, and file it for you.

Most nationalities require a visa to enter Tajikistan. While some citizens are eligible for visa-free entry (usually for up to 30 days), many travelers find the 60-day eVisa more convenient for longer stays or for trips requiring the GBAO permit. Citizens of some CIS countries (like Russia and Belarus) enjoy indefinite visa-free access. Use our visa checker to see the specific rules for your nationality.
The Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) covers the eastern part of the country, including the Pamir Highway. This is a sensitive border zone. If you plan to travel anywhere in this region, for example, for hiking, you must have a GBAO permit. You can easily select this online through iVisa during the application process.
You will receive your approved eVisa as a PDF document via email. You must print a physical copy to show to border officials. Digital copies on phones are often not accepted at land border crossings. You can also find a digital copy in your iVisa dashboard if applied through us.
The eVisa allows for a maximum stay of 60 days. It is valid for use within a 90-day window starting from your specified 'Expected Entry Date' during the eVisa application. You must exit the country before the 90-day validity period expires, regardless of whether you have used all 60 stay days.
If you enter Tajikistan on an eVisa, you are exempt from the mandatory registration with OVIR for the duration of your visa (up to 60 days). The fee is included in the eVisa fee paid online. However, travelers entering visa-free for more than 10 days generally must register at a local OVIR office within 10 days of arrival.
Yes, every traveler, including infants and minors, must have their own individual eVisa and a valid passport. iVisa makes it easy to apply for the whole family in one go by using the 'Add another person' feature during the application.
