The Philippines has paradisiacal places, but sometimes we want to go further to explore nature. Tanzania can be a life-changing experience. The country has fantastic reserves where you can watch gazelles, buffaloes, and zebras in their habitat. Otherwise, if you are looking for beaches as beautiful as the Philippines, you should visit Mafia Island, which attracts snorkelers from around the world.

But to visit Tanzania, foreign citizens need a valid passport and a Tanzania evisa, also known as an e-Visa. The Tanzania government implanted this new visa in 2018, which permits most visitors to apply online for visa services once they meet some entry requirements. Filipinos are among those who are eligible to get the Tanzania e-visa.

Read more about the visa policy below, such as details about the documents required, visa fees, and how to apply for a Tanzania e-Visa.

Tanzania visa for Filipino

Besides an original passport, most countries require a visa for foreign travelers. Visiting Tanzania is no different.

But you'll see that getting a Tanzania e-Visa is quite easy for citizens of the Philippines. Once you meet the visa policy requirements, complete the application form online, pay the visa fee, and receive the document in your email inbox to present on arrival.

But notice that this electronic visa is only available if your point of entry into the country is one of the following: Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA), Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (AAKIA), Namanga land border, or Tunduma land border.

Immigration authorities offer the online visa to the Philippines passport holders for three different travel purposes: Tanzania tourist visa, volunteer e-Visa, or transit visa. All of them are single entries visas. You should consult the Tanzanian embassy if you need a multiple entry visa or have an intended stay longer than 90 days Per Entry.

Check the details of the eVisa and be prepared to travel to the United Republic of Tanzania below.

Tanzania Tourist Visa (e-Visa)

You must apply for the Tanzania tourist e-Visa for your vacation. The Philippines citizens can use the document for visits, tourism, leisure, holidays, attending conferences, humanitarian and charity activities, family visits, or health treatment.

After meeting the government requirements to apply, you can fill out our simplified form with your information on the iVisa application page. The Tanzanian visa will arrive in your email inbox once the processing time is concluded. Our team will take care of everything, so you have a successful application!

Remember that it is a single entry visa intended for tourism purposes only. Therefore, Filipino citizens can stay 90 days per entry into Tanzania.

Tanzania Volunteer e-Visa

If you're traveling to Tanzania for humanitarian or charity activities, you must apply for the volunteer e-visa. The application process is also online, and you can submit your information wherever you are.

You can always count on iVisa services to make travel easier. So you can fill out the form on our application page, which will take only a few minutes. We will take care of everything while you pack your bags and relax.

You'll receive the document via email once it is ready. Then, you just have to present it to the immigration officers at the Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA), Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), or Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (AAKIA).

The Volunteer visa is a Multiple Entry visa. So, Filipinos can only enter Tanzania once with it and stay for a maximum of 90 days Per Entry.

Tanzania Transit Visa

If you are traveling and have a stopover in Tanzania, you should take this opportunity to explore the country for a while! But be aware you must apply for a Transit visa on arrival to stay a couple of days in the territory or leave the airport for a few hours.

To apply for this Tanzania visa, the traveler must present a round-trip ticket, proof of sufficient funds for the stay, and a visa for another destination or other documents to secure travel.

The transit e-Visa permits a stay of a maximum of 7 days Per Entry. So it's just for a short visit, fitting Tanzania into your travel plans.
