Part of the application process includes an appointment at a visa application center. When you arrive at the appointment, you will give your biometrics.

Can I extend my Visa?

Yes! You can apply for an extension online. However, you must apply while still in the UK. You may be asked to resubmit documents. It takes about 8 weeks (or less) for your extension application to be processed if you use their standard service. Special circumstances can cause your application to be processed more quickly.
