Moldova e-Visa

Purpose: The Moldova eVisa is an online electronic visa that authorizes eligible foreign nationals to enter the Republic of Moldova for short-term purposes, including tourism and leisure, business, familial visits, transit, and other technical purposes. When to apply: It’s recommended to apply at least a month in advance.

Duration and extensions The Moldova eVisa allows stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day validity period. It may be extended by applying to the migration authority in Moldova.

Entries: The visa is issued as a single- or multiple-entry visa.

Ports of entry: Moldova e-Tourist visa holders can enter the country through any official border crossing.

Delivery format: An approved eVisa is electronically linked to your passport, but travelers are advised to carry a printed copy of the approval PDF when entering Moldova.

Short-Stay Tourist Visa (Type C/T)*

This Type B visa is for travelers who aren't eligible for the eVisa or need a multiple-entry option. It’s a sticker visa placed in your passport.

It allows visits up to 90 days within a 180-day period for tourism or visiting relatives. You’ll need to apply through a Moldovan embassy and sometimes provide an invitation letter.

Airport Transit Visa (Type A)*

The Type A visa is for travelers who are transiting through a Moldovan airport but not leaving the international transit area. This visa is only needed if you're changing flights in Moldova and your nationality requires a visa to do so, even if you’re not entering the country.

You must have a confirmed onward ticket and remain within the airport during your layover. It does not allow you to pass through immigration or enter Moldova.

Transit Visa (Type B)*

The transit visa is for travelers stopping in Moldova on the way to another country. It lets you stay for up to 5 days per entry, and can be single- or multiple-entry, depending on your plans. You'll need proof of your final destination and any visas required there.
