This electronic visa is valid for tourism, business, medical, transit, and cultural visits. It’s available to citizens of over 90 countries and is valid for single entry with a stay of up to 30 days.
You must apply at least 3 business days before your trip, but we recommend applying at least two weeks in advance to avoid issues.

This visa allows entry for short-term business-related activities such as conferences, meetings, or trade fairs. It is also issued as a single-entry visa, valid for up to 30 days.
You must provide a business invitation letter from an Azerbaijani entity and prove you are not taking up employment in the country.
Travelers from the following countries can get an electronic visa on arrival at any international airport in Azerbaijan, allowing a stay of up to 30 days: Bahrain, China, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and South Korea.
The visa on arrival costs around $30 USD, except for Japanese citizens, who are exempt from the fee.
U.S. citizens were previously eligible for a visa on arrival if arriving on a direct flight from New York to Baku. However, as of 2024, there are no direct flights operating between the two cities.
This means U.S. travelers must now apply online for an eVisa unless they qualify under a different exemption.
This is a traditional embassy-issued visa for travelers not eligible for the eVisa or needing longer stays. It allows visits of 30–90 days, depending on the embassy's decision.

Azerbaijan offers several visa options based on the purpose of your visit and your nationality. Citizens of over 90 countries, including the EU, UK, UAE, and the United States, can apply for an Azerbaijan eVisa online, valid for 30-day stays within a 90-day window.
Other travelers may need to apply for a traditional paper visa at an Azerbaijani embassy or consulate, especially if their purpose involves transit, work, study, or extended stays.
The Azerbaijan visa policy also covers business travelers, transit passengers, and medical visitors, each with tailored visa types. Entry requirements may include proof of accommodation, return flight, travel insurance, and sufficient funds.
Travelers entering Nagorno-Karabakh or other disputed regions without Azerbaijani approval may be banned from entering Azerbaijan in the future. It's crucial to follow government guidelines carefully.
