Do I need a visa to travel to Morocco?

It depends on your nationality. Citizens of approximately 70 countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and most of the EU, are visa-exempt and can stay for up to 90 days with just a passport.

If your country is not on the exempt list, you likely need a Tourist eVisa or a traditional sticker visa from an embassy.

The Moroccan government has expanded the Tourist eVisa eligibility to three main categories:

Category A: Specific nationalities (e.g., India, Israel, Thailand) who can apply online with just an ordinary passport.
Category B: Individuals with a valid residence permit (valid for 180+ days) from the UK, USA, Canada, EU, Australia, or Japan.
Category C: Individuals holding a valid, non-electronic, multiple-entry visa (valid for 90+ days) from the UK, USA, Schengen Area, Canada, or Australia.

How will I receive the Morocco eVisa?

Once approved, your eVisa is sent directly to your email address as a PDF. While it is digitally linked to your passport, Moroccan authorities require a printed copy to be presented at the border for stamping.

Can I work or do business in Morocco on a Tourist Visa?

No. The Tourist eVisa is strictly for tourism and leisure. Engaging in paid work or professional activities is prohibited and can lead to legal consequences or deportation.

How long does the Morocco eVisa processing take?

Do children/minors need a Moroccan eVisa?

Yes, every traveler requires their own visa. Minors must have their own eVisa and should be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during travel. iVisa makes it easy to apply for the whole family in one go by using the "Add another person" feature during the application.

Can I extend my Moroccan eVisa?

The eVisa allows for a 30-day stay. If you wish to stay longer, you must apply for an extension at the local Moroccan Police Department (Préfecture) or Immigration Office before your current 30 days expire.

Extensions are generally granted for an additional 90 days.

Do I need the Morocco eVisa to transit in the country?

If you remain in the international transit zone of the airport while waiting for a connecting flight, you generally do not need a visa. However, if you plan to leave the airport or clear immigration to check in for a new flight, an eVisa or Transit Visa is required for eligible nationalities.
