Jordanian citizens don't need a visa for short trips to Thailand. They are currently visa-exempt for stays of up to 60 days for tourism or short-term business, and they may be able to extend once for up to 30 additional days at Thai Immigration (subject to approval). Even though a visa is not required, all Jordanian travelers must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering Thailand.

What’s the difference between the visa exemption and the Thailand Digital Arrival Card?

The visa exemption lets Australian citizens enter Thailand without needing a visa for short tourist stays (up to 60 days). The Thailand Digital Arrival Card is an entry form required for all foreign travelers. It’s not a visa – it’s a digital document that replaces older arrival/departure cards. You must present it upon arrival, even if you don't need a visa.

Can I stay in Thailand for more than 60 days?

Yes. Australian citizens can usually extend their 60-day stay by another 30 days at a local immigration office in Thailand. For anything longer than 90 days, you'll need to apply for a long-stay visa of a relevant category before traveling.

Do I need a visa to transit through Thailand?

No visa is needed for transiting through Thai airports if you remain in the transit area and your layover is short. For extended layovers or overnight stays, please check with your airline or local immigration authorities to confirm the entry rules.

Do I still need to complete the TDAC if I'm exempt from a visa?

Yes. All foreign travelers must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card, even if they don't need a visa. It’s required for entry and must be presented on arrival.

Do children need the TDAC too?

Yes. All travelers entering Thailand, including children, must complete the Digital Arrival Card. Parents or guardians can fill it out on their behalf.
