Thailand visa requirements for Kuwaiti citizens

Kuwait is on Thailand's 30-day visa exemption list for tourism, which the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait posted before the 15 September 2026 change. It replaced the 60-day exemption, which Thailand revoked that day. The exemption covers Kuwaiti national passports, not a Travel Document for Aliens issued by Kuwait. Every entry also needs the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), filed in the 3 days before arrival.

Thailand visa FAQs

Quick answers for Kuwaiti citizens traveling to Thailand.

Still have questions?

Our visa experts are available 24/7 on chat, email, and WhatsApp.

Do Kuwaiti citizens need a visa for Thailand?

No, for tourism of up to 30 days on a Kuwaiti national passport. The Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait posted Thailand's summary showing Kuwait on the 30-day exemption from 15 September 2026. A Travel Document for Aliens issued by Kuwait doesn't qualify, so its holder needs a visa. For a longer holiday, the Thai Tourist Visa allows up to 60 days per entry.

I live in Kuwait but am not Kuwaiti: how do I apply for a Thai visa?

Apply online through Thailand's official e-Visa system, which the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait processes for residents. The embassy asks for your Civil ID as proof of residency in Kuwait. Check first whether your own passport is on Thailand's exemption lists.

Do Arabic documents need translating for a Thai e-Visa filed in Kuwait?

Yes. The Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait says any document not in English must be translated into English. A licensed translator must certify and sign the translation, and you submit it with the original.
