What is the Bahamas tourist visa?

The Bahamas tourist visa is an electronic visa issued by the Bahamas government that authorizes travelers to enter the country. The travel document can be obtained as a single-entry or multiple-entry document.

We recommend that Haitian passport holders apply online for their Bahamas tourist visa to avoid the long queues and wait times at the Bahamas embassy. Travelers must present their Bahamas visa at the border or airport on arrival.

Please note that the e-tourist visa is not the Bahamas travel health visa.

How long is the Bahamas tourist visa valid?

The Multiple Entry is valid for 90 days after arrival after arrival, while a multiple-entry visa can be valid for 90 days, 6 months, or 12 months. The length of time depends on the purpose of your travel and visa needs.

Remember that to apply for a multiple-entry visa; you must have previously been issued three simple-entry visas.

What are the Bahamas visa requirements for Haitian nationals?

All Haitian citizens require a valid passport and an approved Bahamas tourist visa when arriving in the Bahamas. Remember that Haitians can only apply for the Bahamas visa if they currently have a valid Schengen, United Kingdom, Canada, or United States of America visa.

Do minors require the Bahamas visitor visa?

The Bahamas requires all family members to have a visa, including minors. If the child is not old enough to apply for themselves, the parent or guardian must do so on their behalf.

Bahamas tourist visa requirements for Haitians

To apply for the Bahamas visa, Haitian visa applicants will need to provide the following documents and information:

  • Valid national passport that meets the passport validity requirement of least six months.

  • 2 digital passport photos, which you can obtain through our passport photo service.

  • Supporting documents such as financial statements, hotel itinerary, airline ticket or onward journey ticket, copies of old visas, and children's birth certificates (if applicable).

  • You must have a valid Schengen, United Kingdom, Canada, or United States of America visa.

  • An email address to receive application status updates, requests for more information, other requirements, and your final visa.

  • A debit or credit card to pay the visa fee. Please note that you must upload a picture of the physical credit card to complete the application.

COVID-19 requirements or restrictions

Government officials in the Bahamas have relaxed most of its COVID-19 protocols after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) ranked the Bahamas as Level 1 on the COVID-19 Travel Risk Advisory Rating scale.

Travelers to the islands will not need to apply for a Bahamas Travel Health Visa nor present a COVID-19 vaccination certificate. Please note officials can request proof of other vaccinations, such as a yellow fever vaccination certificate.

Do I need a COVID-19 test?

The Bahamas has also dropped all COVID-19 testing requirements to enter the country. This is regardless of the vaccination status of the traveler in question.
