What are the entry requirements for Indian citizens in the Bahamas?

To apply for a visa to the Bahamas, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • You must have sufficient funds for your own and/or your family's expenses during your stay.
  • You must meet the minimum health requirements.
  • You must have the intention to return to your country.
  • You must have a valid reason to travel to the Bahamas.

Documents required for a Bahamas visa for Indians

To apply for a Bahamas visa, it is necessary to have the following documents:

  • Passport: Your passport must be valid for six months or more when entering the country. It must have at least two blank pages. It must be original and authentic. If you have other old passports with previous visas, you must submit them with the new one.
  • Digital photo: A passport-size photo. It must be in color with a white background, matte finish, hair preferably up, ears visible, serious expression looking directly into the camera, and the face must occupy 80% of the photo.   • Return ticket: Confirmed and paid ticket with departure and arrival flight dates.
  • Hotel reservation: Confirmed reservation for the hotel where you will be staying during your trip.

  • Letter of invitation: If you are staying with friends or relatives, they must send a letter of invitation indicating the days and the address where you are staying.

Types of Bahamas visas for Indians

Indian citizens can apply for two types of visas:

  • Single entry visa: It is valid for only one Multiple Entry. It is valid for 90 days after arrival. Once you leave the country, you cannot re-enter with this visa.
  • Multiple entry visas: This visa allows you to enter more than once during the validity period. Validity periods are 90 days after arrival, 90 days after arrival, and 90 days after arrival.

Please note: To obtain the multiple entry visa, you must have previously obtained 3 single entry visas.

Is it mandatory to have travel medical insurance to enter the Bahamas?
