Important Instructions

Like most Caribbean islands, Haiti is where tourists can enjoy white sand, warm sun, cold drinks, and turquoise water. Come to Haiti if you want to get away from the daily grind and unwind for a while. Aside from the beaches, Haiti has plenty to offer: explore the islands, visit the majestic fortresses, or hike through the forest. Since its colonization, Haiti is indeed a gift that keeps on giving. You are sure to have a wonderful trip.

Before you pick which swimsuit to bring, you need to make sure that you have the proper documentation. You may need a visa, though most nationalities can enter Haiti visa-free and stay for up to three months. Only a handful of people need to obtain a visa prior to arrival: citizens of Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Palestine, and Panama must obtain a visa. There is an exception, however. If the aforementioned nationalities have a valid visa or resident permit issued by the United States, Canada, or a country in the Schengen area, they are allowed to stay in Haiti visa-free for up to 3 months.

Although all the nationalities that require a visa are mentioned above, we still recommend you use our Visa Checker Tool located in the top right corner of this page - it will provide you with a list of the nearest embassies where you can apply in-person.

Unfortunately, iVisa does not currently process visa applications for Honduras since the government has not yet adopted an electronic visa system. Nonetheless, we still want to help all travelers, which is why we offer a free 24/7 support service to answer any questions you have about the visa process.

In the event you need a visa for Haiti, we recommend investigating your nationality's specific requirements before going to the embassy. While you can do that on the internet, we advise that you call the diplomatic mission itself. It is the most reliable source of information. Websites are not always updated, leading to critical application errors. Just give the embassy a call or email to find out more info. Nevertheless, what iVisa can tell you is that you need a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your date of arrival in Haiti. For further information, contact the nearest embassy of Haiti.

We regret that we cannot assist you further, but hopefully the above information is helpful. For more information, do not hesitate to contact us. Our consultants are ready to take your questions.
