What do I need to apply online for the New Zealand ETA?

Do I need the New Zealand ETA if I am transiting through the Auckland International Airport?

Yes! You will need to show your passport on arrival and your NZeTA at the Auckland international airport or any international airport.

This applies whether you are planning to stay for a few hours or several weeks, even if you are just passing through the airport for a connecting flight.

Over 50 nationalities will need a transit NZeTA if they plan to do a layover at the Auckland International Airport or reach a third-country destination. We advise you to get in contact with the embassy to learn more about this requirement.

Does the ETA ensure that I will get into New Zealand?
