What is an eVisa?

This eVisa is a formal and official electronic paper that allows visitors to enter Oman.

Which documents do I need to supply for the application?

Any application process requires proper documentation. Yet, there is nothing out of the ordinary. Here is what you need to provide:

  • Passport – your passport needs to remain valid for at least another 6 months from your intended date of arrival in Oman. Otherwise, you risk having your application denied.

  • A passport scan – we only need the information page of your passport. Here you will find instructions on how to make the best passport scan for your application.

  • A digital photo of you – You can take it yourself! Just make sure that it meets the photo requirements. If you already have one that meets these requirements, it has to be no older than 6 months.

  • Email address – when applying with iVisa, your visa will be sent to you via email, so make sure that you introduce a valid e-mail address you have access to.

  • Means of payment – iVisa accepts multiple methods of payment such as credit and debit cards.

How much does the eVisa cost?

We always satisfy the needs and pockets of every single applicant. This is the reason why we decided to introduce three types of processing times:

  • Standard processing (4 days) - USD $66.99.

  • Rush processing (2 days) - USD $168.99.

  • Super rush processing (24 hours) - USD $233.99.

REMEMBER... This example of fees are for the eVisa of 1 year. As an US citizen you can apply for a eVisa of 30 days or 1 year. If you want information on the other eVisas, click here.

How long is the Oman eVisa valid for?

The Omar eVisa is valid for 90 days after arrival. Other eVisas change their validity for 90 days after arrival and 90 days after arrival.

How many entries am I allowed? How long can I stay?

The 1 year eVisa is a Multiple Entry. The others are a Multiple Entry. US citizens can enter Oman for a maximum of 90 days Per Entry, 90 days Per Entry, or 90 days Per Entry, depending the choice of your eVisa. All visits are strictly limited to business or tourism, so you can NOT seek paid work or employment.

How does the Oman eVisa work?

In February 2018, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced a new online system for visitors to apply for their tourist visas. The new online visa system is intended to facilitate the process for tourists traveling to Oman and to reduce the wait time at the arrival terminal.

The e-Visa system is an online method of applying for visas for entry from anywhere in the world. Some advantages of this system are that visas can be applied for quickly over the Internet at any time and from any location. Payment is made online at the time of the visa application.

Do I have to invest a lot of time in the application form?

Just 10 minutes of your time will be enough to complete the online application form.

In how many parts is the application form divided?

The process for the Oman eVisa works like this:

  1. First, fill in your personal data and choose the processing time from the options mentioned before.
  2. Second, revise step one and make the payment.
  3. Third, answer a questionnaire and upload your passport scan. Other documents may be required as well, but it will depend on personal circumstances.
