As of July 01, 2022, travelers must present the Suriname Entry Fee on arrival in Suriname. It’s a fee that passengers have to pay to have access to the country for tourism and business activities via the Johan Adolf Pengel airport, French Guiana, or Guyana borders.
It is a single-entry travel document valid for 50 days.

Who is exempt from paying the Suriname Entry Fee?
This is a mandatory document to travel to Suriname for citizens of all countries, however, there are only a few exemptions from specific passport holders that don't have to pay for the Entry Fee:

Those with a passport from Vatican City;

Those with a passport from CARICOM countries;

Those with a Diplomatic and Service passport;

Those with a UN Laissez passer;

Those with a PSA document or PSA card;

Holders of a Suriname valid visa;

Do transit passengers need to pay the Entry fee?
Travelers in transit who want to leave the airport must have a transit visa and don’t need to pay the Entry Fee.
Travelers who are in transit, who won’t leave the airport, don't need a visa to transit nor pay the Entry Fee.

Are there COVID-19 requirements to enter Suriname?
The Suriname government has retired all COVID-19 testing or vaccination requirements to enter the country.
Is the yellow fever vaccine required for traveling to Suriname?
The vaccine is required for all visitors traveling from a country with a high risk of yellow fever transmission, including children over one year of age.
This is mandatory even if the person was in transit for less than 12 hours in an airport located in a territory with a risk of yellow fever virus transmission. The recommendation is especially for those who were in rural areas in these risky areas.
Note: Haiti travelers need Travel Insurance to enter Suriname.

Can I cancel my application?

If your application has not been reviewed by our team, nor submitted to the government for approval, then you will receive a credit for the full amount of the iVisa processing fee and government fee.

If your application has been reviewed by our team but has not yet been submitted to the government for approval, you will receive a credit for the full amount of the government fee.

If your application has been submitted to the government for approval or a visa is already issued, unfortunately, no credit is available.
