Cambodian visa policy for American citizens

US citizens need a visa to visit Cambodia for tourism or short stays, and the most convenient option is the Cambodian eVisa, which can be obtained online before departure. Cambodia also offers a Visa on Arrival option for US travelers at international airports and certain land borders. This also allows a stay of up to 30 days, and travelers may need to provide a passport photo, pay the visa fee in cash (usually USD), and show proof of onward or return travel.

iVisa offers three entry documents for US travelers:

  • Cambodian eVisa: A mandatory electronic visa that allows US citizens to enter Cambodia for tourism purposes. It is typically a single-entry visa valid for up to 30 days and can be used at major airports and selected land border crossings.

  • Cambodia Business eVisa: an electronic visa required for Saudi citizens traveling to Cambodia for business purposes. It is typically a single-entry visa that allows a stay of up to 30 days, with the possibility of extension, subject to Cambodian immigration rules.

  • Cambodia e-Arrival Card: A mandatory digital entry form that travelers must complete before arrival. It collects key details such as passport information, travel plans, and accommodation address, and helps speed up immigration procedures.

General Cambodian eVisa requirements for US travelers are:

  • A United States passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry
  • Passport-style photo (recommended)
  • Confirmed onward or return flight ticket
  • Proof of accommodation and travel itinerary
  • Evidence of sufficient funds for the duration of the stay
