Cambodia Business eVisa

Purpose: The Cambodia Business eVisa (officially known as the Ordinary Visa) is for individuals visiting for business meetings, investment, work, or long-term residence.

When to apply: It’s recommended to apply at least 3 working days in advance.

Duration and extensions: The initial visa allows a stay of 30 days. It can be extended indefinitely for periods of 1, 3, 6, or 12 months at the Department of Immigration.

Entries: The initial eVisa is single entry, but 6-month and 12-month extensions permit multiple entries.

Ports of entry: Phnom Penh, Siem Reap-Angkor, and Sihanoukville Airports, plus Bavet and Tropaeng Kreal land borders.

Delivery format: Approved as a PDF via email. Travelers must print two copies to present to immigration authorities.

Cambodia e-Arrival Card

Purpose: The Cambodia e-Arrival (CeA) is a mandatory digital declaration that replaces the previous paper immigration, health, and customs forms.

When to apply: You must submit the form within 7 days before your arrival in Cambodia.

Duration and extensions: The card is valid only for a single entry. It does not grant or extend a stay; that is determined by your visa status.

Entries: A new e-Arrival submission is required for every entry into the country.

Ports of entry: It is mandatory for all travelers arriving by air at Phnom Penh, Siem Reap-Angkor, and Sihanoukville International Airports.

Delivery format: Upon submission, you will receive a QR code. You should save a screenshot on your phone or print a copy to be scanned by immigration officers upon arrival.

Cambodia Long-Stay and Residency Visa*

This is the entry permit for individuals intending to stay long-term. Initially valid for 30 days as a single-entry visa, it must be extended within Cambodia into specific subclasses to remain legal. The EB subclass is for those working or self-employed, the ER is for retirees aged 55 and older, the ES is for students enrolled in registered institutions, the EG is for job seekers, and the EP is for those exploring business opportunities. Extensions for six or 12 months allow multiple entries and can be renewed indefinitely.

*We currently don’t offer these visas.

Cambodia Khmer Visa (Type K)*

This is a special permanent visa for individuals of Cambodian descent who hold a foreign passport. It’s issued exclusively to those born to at least one Cambodian parent. It’s a multiple-entry visa valid for the life of the passport and is issued free of charge upon providing proof of Khmer origin.

Most foreign nationals, including US citizens, must obtain a visa before traveling to Cambodia for tourism, business, study, work, or other purposes. Cambodia offers a Visa on Arrival (VoA) service for many nationalities at major airports and land borders, though using the eVisa system before departure is recommended. Citizens of ASEAN countries (including Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia) do not require a visa for stays up to 14 or 30 days.

All travelers entering Cambodia by air are required to complete a mandatory Cambodia e-Arrival (CeA) form within seven days before arrival.

General Cambodia visa requirements are:

  • Passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival and at least one blank page

  • Recent digital photo

  • Travel details (such as arrival date and port of entry)

  • Proof of sufficient financial means for the duration of stay

  • Additional supporting documents depending on visa type (e.g., business invitation or employment contract for an ordinary/business visa)

Yes. Most tourist and business visas can be extended once for 30 days. Visit a Cambodian immigration office to start the extension process before your visa expires.

Overstaying your visa can result in daily fines and may cause issues when you try to leave or re-enter Cambodia in the future. Always apply for an extension in advance or leave before your visa expires.

If you’re transiting through Cambodia and won’t leave the airport, you may not need a visa. If you plan to leave the airport or stay overnight, you will need a valid visa.
