I still don’t know if I have been qualified for my visa ?
Considering that I'm a busy person who travels for work and doesn't have the time to wait in line much less make several trips to correct any mistakes, this has been very helpful. Two reasons I'm giving iVisa 3 stars: Communications could be better on your chat application. I would ask that they check on my visa, but I would not hear anything back. This has happened several times. I realize that iVisa is limited when it comes to the speed of the consulate, but an email to let customers know that they're still on top of things would be helpful, especially if visa has been sitting on Waiting for Government stage for a few weeks. Second reason for 3 stars: I work for the media, but have nothing to do with reporting the news, but China required two letters (one from boss & the other from me). If this information was on the website I didn't see it. It would have been helpful if it one the website, if it is it needs to be more prominent or on the website for this would save time and stress.
If you want your Visa and don't want to have to drive back and forth to the Chinese consulate to get it done, this is a place to do it. The cost was more than I expected, but better compared to other companies. You get what you pay for though. There was a huge lack of instructions once I received the FedEx print out. Once our passports and paperwork had been mailed to iVisa, I received absolutely no update. In fact, there was no update on the web site until the day I got my passports back. On two occasions, I emailed the company asking them what was going on, especially since I received a notification that a package was being delivered to me. When I logged into my account, it showed me that I needed to print off paperwork and that my paperwork was still "under review" by iVisa. I took this to mean that something was missing or not approved. When I finally did hear back from someone two days later, they never answered my question and told me the same information I found on the web site already. I emailed again. Didn't hear anything. Next thing I know, our passports, with the visas in them, are here, and two hours later, after two weeks of no updates, my status is "finished." Keep better track of the process after you have our passports and paperwork. It's scary giving all of your information away like that, and the less communicative you are, the scarier it is. Make the information accurate.
Visa was obtained with less than a week to spare and process was started 5 weeks in advance. At times it was unclear what additional information was needed or corrections that had to be made and then the feed back was slower than we had hoped for.
On numerous occasions, they had no idea they already had information they were requesting from me. They emailed me many times asking questions I had already answered or requesting information I had already given. Once I Fedex’d my passport to them, they emailed me 3 days after it had been delivered asking me to mail it to them. Not a great feeling thinking they lost your passport! **definitely get a tracking number** Overall, they got the job done but really not as smooth or quick as their website indicates.
I kept being asked for more information, with little explanation as to why.
Cons: The form was filled out wrong multiple times even though it should've been automated. I had to manually fill out an application form and send it in. The necessary information for a visa application was not given right away. Communication with customer service on their online chat was poor, unhelpful, and very slow. Turn around time was slower than expected upon receiving our passports. Pros: Customer service on the phone was good. The price was cheap. They kept us up to date on the status of our visas. Shipping the passports and working with FedEx was easy.
