- Who it's for
- Travelers from the wide list of eligible nationalities visiting Pakistan for tourism. The government accepts online applications from nationals applying in their own country of nationality, so expatriates and dual nationals applying from a third country are directed to a Pakistan Mission instead.
- Permitted activities
- Tourism, business, and Sikh pilgrimage, depending on the category applied for. Living in Pakistan, taking employment and studying are not permitted on it.
- Entry points
- Air, sea and land, but only at the ports named by the government, which include the main international airports, the Karachi and Gwadar sea ports and the designated road and railway crossings. Travelers only transiting through do not need it.
- Delivery format
- A PDF visa. Applications can also be made through the government's own portal or its mobile app, and any applicant may be asked to attend an interview at a Pakistan Mission at the government's discretion.
- Good to know
- Minors need their own visa and must apply individually, with a parental consent form and both parents' passport pages. A family cannot be filed as one government submission, and companion details entered on the form are informational only and do not produce a visa for that person.
- Validity
- Valid for 90 days
- Entry
- Single entry
- Length of stay
- Stay up to 30 days per entry
- Processing time
- Get it in as fast as 6 days

This is my first time to apply for my e visa i have good experience with all people
The website and app are easy to use. I did find that the app did not give correct messages, only stating that the passport photo needed to be added - when in fact it was ok, but other docs were actually needed. Also, for Pakistan, it seems that an invitation letter is always needed. I originally planned to stay in a hotel to avoid the need to do that, but the government still required an invitation letter. Since I was visiting a friend, where the letter is always required for submitting, I figured I would cancel my hotel and just stay with him. Why not request the invitation letter in the beginning of the process and save some time. I did find that anyone I interacted with via email was very polite and quick turnaround on answers. I would use iVisa again for complete visa needs.
In the end what count is that I got the visa, but I kept receiving requests for integrations, some of which I had already sent earlier
Getting a visa for Pakistan is certainly not an easy process, and the constant rejection of applications was starting to become quite stressful, especially as the trip got worryingly close. Having ivisa on hand to talk through the requirements and where I was going wrong, was absolutely invaluable, and without their help, I'm not sure I would have had the visa through in time. Thank you for your help, and I will definitely be using you again, perhaps as soon as March, for Bangladesh!
I am very happy and very satisfied with your very fast service.. Thank u very much and God bless..More power

Pakistan visa FAQs
Quick answers to the most common questions about the Pakistan eVisa.
Still have questions?
Our visa experts are available 24/7 on chat, email, and WhatsApp.
What is the difference between an eVisa and a Visa on Arrival (VoA)?
The Pakistan eVisa is a pre-approved authorization you receive before you travel. The Visa on Arrival (VoA) has been suspended, and is no longer available.
What activities are permitted on an eVisa?
You can visit Pakistan with an eVisa to: Sightsee and explore tourist attractions; Visit friends and family; Business activities (meetings, conferences); Sikh pilgrimages. Important notes for business travelers: Most business applicants are now required to obtain their invitation letter through the official Pakistan E-Business Invitation Letter System. The inviting company in Pakistan must register and generate this for you online. If your country is on the "Business Visa List" (which includes most Western countries), you are eligible for an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) that is processed very quickly, often within 24 hours. You cannot engage in paid employment, missionary work, or journalistic activities without a specific category-based visa.
How will I receive the Pakistan eVisa?
Once approved, an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) will be sent to your email address. You must print this document and carry it with you. The actual visa/entry stamp will be placed in your passport by immigration officers at the Pakistani port of entry. If you've applied through iVisa, you can find a copy of your ETA in your dashboard.
How long can I stay in Pakistan with an eVisa?
The standard Tourist eVisa typically allows for a stay of up to 30 days (up to 60 days for some). However, the specific duration granted is at the discretion of the issuing officer. If you wish to stay longer, you can apply for an extension through the NADRA online portal while you are still inside Pakistan.
Where can I enter Pakistan with the eVisa?
This document is required for entry into the country by air, sea, and land at specific ports: Air: Islamabad Airport, Lahore Airport, Peshawar Airport, Karachi Airport, Quetta Airport, Multan Airport, Rahim Yar Khan Airport, Bahawalpur Airport, Faisalabad Airport, Gwadar Airport, and Sialkot Airport; Sea: Karachi Sea Port, Ghassbandar Sea Port, Port Bin Qasim, and Gwadar Sea Port; Land: Gubd Land Route, Chamman Land Route, Wahga Land Route, Torkham Land Route, Taftan Land Route, Sost Land Route, Wahga Railway Station, and Khokarapar Railway Station.
Do children/minors need their own Pakistan eVisa to enter the country?
Yes. Minors are also required to have this document to enter Pakistan; parents can apply on their behalf. With iVisa, we make it easy to apply as a family by clicking "Add another person" during our simplified online process.
How long does Pakistan eVisa processing take?
Government processing typically takes 6 to 12 business days. However, it can sometimes take longer during peak seasons or if additional security checks are required. iVisa recommends applying at least 2-3 weeks before your intended travel date.
What happens if my Pakistan eVisa application is denied?
If denied, the authorities usually cite reasons such as "incomplete documents" or "security concerns." Because Pakistan has strict entry requirements, even small errors can lead to rejection. iVisa provides expert review to minimize this risk, and we offer guidance on how to rectify issues if a re-application is necessary. iVisa also offers denial protection as an add-on to your application (optional).
Can I travel to restricted areas (like Azad Kashmir) with an eVisa?
Foreigners often require a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to visit certain restricted or sensitive border areas in Pakistan. The standard eVisa does not automatically grant access to these regions; you must apply for an NOC through the Ministry of Interior once you arrive in Pakistan. Travelers should be aware that an NOC can take 4-6 weeks to process and are frequently denied to solo tourists. Most travelers must coordinate this through a registered tour operator well in advance.
