Thailand visa for Mexican citizens
Mexicans now need a visa for Thailand. Apply at least a month before you enter Thailand, then file the TDAC in the 3 days before arrival.

Thailand visa requirements for Mexican citizens
Since 15 September 2026, Mexican citizens with ordinary passports need a visa for Thailand, whatever the purpose of the trip. The Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico City says this follows the revocation of the 60-day visa exemption. You apply through Thailand's official e-Visa system, and no passport or original documents go to the embassy. Mexicans who entered before 15 September 2026 keep the stay stamped in their passport. Every traveler also files the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) for every entry, in the 3 days before arrival.

Our visa experts are available 24/7 on chat, email, and WhatsApp.
Do Mexican citizens need a visa for Thailand?
Yes, since 15 September 2026. The Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico City says Mexican ordinary passport holders now need a Thai visa for any purpose of travel. The reason is the revocation of the 60-day visa exemption, under Ministry of Interior notifications published on 31 August 2026.
How do I enter my two surnames on the Thai e-Visa form?
The Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico City asks for your first given name under Given name and your second under Middle name. Both surnames go together under Family name, first surname then second. The embassy cannot edit personal data later, and an application needing more than two corrections is canceled.
Can I apply through the Thai Embassy in Mexico City from the US or Europe?
No. The embassy covers Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Cuba, Haiti and Belize. It accepts applicants of any nationality who are physically in one of those countries and who travel to Thailand from there.
Will the Thai Embassy in Mexico City accept travel-agency bookings?
No. Hotel proof must come from the hotel or a booking platform, with a summary of your accommodations. Flight bookings must come from the airline or a booking platform, with an itinerary summary. The embassy refuses confirmations, itineraries or flight details issued by travel agencies.
