3

We submit it for government processing

We’re not the Zimbabwe government, but we submit your application to them and are here for you along the way if there are any problems.

Zimbabwe eVisa

Purpose: The Zimbabwe eVisa is an electronic visa issued to eligible foreign nationals traveling to Zimbabwe for tourism, business, family visits, or other short-term purposes.

When to apply: Travelers should apply online at least 5–7 days before departure to allow sufficient processing time.

Duration and extensions: Zimbabwe eVisas are typically issued for short stays of up to 30 or 90 days, depending on the visa type and nationality. Extensions may be requested from the Department of Immigration in Zimbabwe, subject to approval.

Entries: The eVisa may be issued as a single-entry or double-entry visa, depending on the applicant’s selection and eligibility. Multiple-entry options may be available in certain cases.

Ports of entry: Zimbabwe eVisa holders must enter through designated ports of entry that accept eVisas, including major airports such as Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport (Harare) and Victoria Falls International Airport, as well as selected land border posts.

Delivery format: Once approved, the eVisa is sent electronically via email as a PDF approval letter. Travelers must print the approval document and present it, along with their valid passport, upon arrival in Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe visa policy

Most foreign nationals require a visa to enter Zimbabwe. Citizens of certain countries — including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and most European Union member states — are eligible to obtain a Visa on Arrival or apply for a Zimbabwe eVisa prior to travel. Other nationalities must obtain a visa in advance through a diplomatic mission.

Zimbabwe also offers the KAZA Univisa (in partnership with Zambia), which allows eligible travelers to visit both Zimbabwe and Zambia on a single visa, primarily for tourism.

General Zimbabwe visa requirements are:

  • Passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry
  • Travel details (such as flight itinerary and accommodation address)
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of stay
  • Additional supporting documents depending on the purpose of travel (such as a business invitation letter, if required)

FAQs

This depends on the visa type. A single-entry eVisa is valid for 1 month, a double-entry visa for up to 3 months, and a multiple-entry visa for up to 6 months.

Standard processing takes around seven working days.

The eVisa allows stays of up to 30 days per visit. A double- or multiple-entry visa may be a better fit if you need more time in the country.

Visa extensions may be granted once you're in Zimbabwe, but it's not guaranteed. You’ll need to visit an immigration office before your current visa expires.

Overstaying a visa in Zimbabwe can result in fines, detention, or a ban on future entry. It’s best to apply for an extension or leave before your visa expires.

Your eVisa can be used at all major airports, including Harare, Victoria Falls, and Bulawayo, as well as at land borders such as Beitbridge, Chirundu, and Kazungula.

Once you apply, our iVisa team will review your information and documents before submitting them to the Zimbabwean government. We’ll email your visa straight to your inbox as soon as it's approved.
