WHO CAN ENTER AUSTRIA WITH THIS DOCUMENT?
Every person who’s planning to visit Austria has to fill in the Pre-travel Clearance Form. However, Austria currently bans the entry of all travelers arriving from outside the European Union (or the EEA, Switzerland, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, the Vatican, or other coronavirus low-risk nations) to decrease the spread of COVID-19. The entry ban includes travelers arriving from the United States.

Austria is a Central European country and member of the European Union. It has a population of around 8.9 million inhabitants, it is well-known for having a highly mountainous territory due to the presence of the Alps. Its official language is German, however, thanks to its shared borders with many countries (8 in total) such as Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and some others, a minority of its people can speak Croatian, Hungarian, Slovenian, and Turkish. It is recognized for being one of the richest countries in the world with a high living standard. Austria has two main features, which are complemented one with each other: The architecture, history, tourist attractions, and buildings presented in its cities are accentuated by the Alps stunning surroundings of white-capped peaks.
Vienna is Austria’s capital and largest city. It used to be the center of the Hapsburg Empire for its strategic shipping location between Eastern and Western Europe. It is a gorgeous place for history and art lovers, because it has some of the finest art museums in the world, among the most remarkable there is the Museum of Art History or Kunsthistorisches Museum. Here, visitors can encounter master artworks by global artists like Raphael, Michelangelo, and Rembrandt. You can also go to three of the prettiest palaces in the country: The Imperial Hofburg Palace, residence to the Naturhistorisches Museum (Natural History Museum), the Sisi Museum, and other 16 buildings distributed on 59 acres. In the Belvedere Palace, you can visit two Baroque palaces, plus a remarkable art collection in the Österreichische Galerie Belvedere. Finally, in the Schönbrunn Palace, it is located the Victorian-era Palm House and the Imperial Apartments. And, the adventures do not stop in Vienna. Austria still has several cities to make your stay memorable
Austria’s second-largest city: Graz. It is known as the European capital of culture, it owns a tremendous history in education represented by the number of students (50,000 out of 300,000 inhabitants) and universities (6) in the city. It is also famous for being the birthplace of famous actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. A compact museum dedicated to his career was built in his honor. Its old town is one of many in Austrian cities designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Among the most important places to stop by are: the Mariatrost Basilica, a Baroque church that is a major pilgrimage destination, the Saint Gile's Cathedral (Grazer Dom), a late Gothic structure, The Schloss Eggenberg, a 1635 Baroque palace with well-maintained architecture and the Styrian Armoury or Landeszeughaus, displaying the largest historical armory in the world. Other remarkable cities to pass by are Salzburg, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Birthplace, hence home to several classic music festivals, and Innsbruck, a top Austrian ski town, home to a distinctive cable car system that takes skiers right from the center of town to the slopes of Nordkette.
This takes us directly to the Austrian Alps, which engulfs nearly two-thirds of the 83,858 square kilometers of the country and is acknowledged by international skiers for having lower prices than France and Switzerland. Ski resorts in Austria can offer up to 303 kilometers of slopes to play fare. The most recognized ones are St. Anton am Arlberg, for presenting most of the challenging runs in the Alps and Kitzbühel, where newbies and families wanting to spend spare time will feel more than comfortable.
Austria is a wonderful destination bringing forward the best of both worlds with amazing places to visit and views to enjoy. It also has delightful gastronomy and these are dishes everyone visiting the country need to taste: 1) apfelstrudel, a flaky pastry that is lined with apple filling spiced with cinnamon, sugar, and raisins; 2) Vienna sausage, this world-famous sausage is made of beef and pork and then smoked at low temperatures; 3) the Wiener Schnitzel or the Vienna Schnitzel is a thin slice of meat fried, served with a side of fried potatoes, sour cream and onions (it is highly recommended to try its street-food version). Lastly, for those who want to try innovative plates, which may differ from city to city, 4) Martinigans, the turkey thanksgiving equivalent, is a sort of stuffed goose prepared to celebrate St. Martin’s Day and 5) Brettjause (meaning snack between meals in german), is a lovely Austrian snack containing picked vegetables, meat, bread and spreads, served on a wooden board.
Regarding COVID-19 regulations, Austria is currently in lockdown.
