Do Omani citizens need a visa to visit India?

Yes, Omani citizens planning a trip to India must obtain an Indian eVisa before their journey.

India provides several eVisa options, tailored to different travel needs. Below are the three primary eVisas available to Omani nationals:

How long is the India Tourist Visa valid for?

The duration of an India Tourist eVisa varies depending on the type you choose. This affects how long and how often you can visit India. Here’s a detailed look at each option.

  • 30-day visa: This is designed for brief trips, offering two entries into India. Its validity extends for 30 days from the date of issue, meaning you must leave India by the 30th day from the visa's start date. For instance, if your visa starts on October 1st, you need to exit India by October 30th.

  • 1-year visa: Aimed at travelers who need to visit India several times within a year, this eVisa allows multiple entries. Each stay can last up to 90 days. Citizens of the US, Canada, and the UK can stay for up to 180 days on each visit.

  • 5-year visa: Best suited for individuals who want to visit India multiple times over five years as it grants multiple entries. Similar to the 1-year visa, each visit under the 5-year visa can last up to 90 days. US, Canadian, and UK citizens can stay up to 180 days per visit.

The 1-year and 5-year eVisas for India are great for those who want to come and go as they please over an extended period. You can enter India multiple times within the visa’s valid timeframe; just remember to keep each visit within the allowed stay duration.
