Having a vacation is essential, and visiting a beautiful country like Jamaica is one of the best ways to soothe your soul. Since Jamaica reopened for tourism in June 2020, there were particular entry and exit requirements to control COVID-19 in the country and keep international travel safe for locals and visitors. Jamaica Stay In Zone Order was one of these measures, which required every tourist to stay within the Resilient Corridor defined by the government.

But in 2022, Jamaica lifted all COVID-19 restrictions due to the pandemic's control. So the country no longer has requirements like the Stay In Zone, COVID-19 testing, or COVID-19 vaccination certificates.

All the preventive measures announced by the Jamaican health authorities to manage the pandemic and keep its residents and tourists safe are no longer in force, including Jamaica stay in zone measure during COVID-19. As a result, you don't have to worry about a pre-departure COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination.

Instead, you have free access to the territory once you submit the Jamaica C5-Form, a mandatory travel document we'll describe below.

Here is a list of a few frequently asked questions that will help you to understand more about the Stay in zone measure and Covid-19 requirements:

If you are planning to enter Jamaica soon, our travel advice is to apply for the Jamaica C5-Form before packing your personal belongings. The C5 card is the online version of the Jamaica immigration form that all passengers must fill out to travel to Jamaica. The passenger must submit it within twenty-four hours of departure for Jamaica.

The best thing is that the application is online, and you get the document in less than 24 hours. In addition, local authorities developed the C5 to facilitate the process for travelers, so it is pretty easy to apply.

Passengers can complete the C5 form within 24 hours of the departure flight by entering their information online. With iVisa services, you'll have an easy time completing the C5 form and get all our team's support through the process.

Applying takes a few minutes, and you'll receive the document in your email. We recommend printing it to present it to local authorities on arrival.

The Jamaica C5 is a single entry card available to all nationalities permitted to enter the country; once is mandatory for the trip. WHAT IS STAY IN ZONE MEASURE?

Previously, the government of Jamaica had announced a stay in zone measure for all international tourists. This means every tourist had to stay within the Resilient Corridor decided by the government.

Just ensure you apply for the C5 travel authorization.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF RESILIENT CORRIDOR?

To manage the risk of COVID-19 transmission, the industry in Jamaica opened in phases. In the first phase, the Jamaican government had opened a Resilient Corridor from Negril along the north coast to Portland. The second Resilient Corridor was open for business travelers and will be the Kingston Business District.

But since the Jamaica Ministry of Health left all COVID-19 restrictions, there's currently no resilient corridor.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I AM CONSIDERED AS HIGH-RISK?

If you were traveling to Jamaica from any country classified as high-risk for COVID-19 transmission based on the World Health Organization's classification or were showing Covid-19 symptoms, or had been exposed to someone with Covid-19 symptoms, you would be considered as high-risk. Then, you would have to submit your sample for Covid-19 testing.

But the Jamaica Ministry of Health left all COVID-19 restrictions so that all passengers can enter the country without PCR tests or other pandemic requirements.

WHERE CAN I STAY DURING THE ZONE MEASURE?

Several facilities, including private homes on the beachside of the key street from Negril to Portland, provided accommodations for tourists during the pandemic. Also, accommodation facilities in the Kingston Business District accepted guests as per this stay-in zone measure.
