Canadian visa policy for British citizens

United Kingdom citizens must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter Canada by air for short stays. In addition, all travelers flying to or transiting through Canada are required to complete the ArriveCAN form prior to departure. Transit without leaving the airport may still require an eTA if arriving by air.\n

The eTA is electronically linked to the traveler’s passport and is required for entry by air.\n

\n Canada ArriveCAN Form: This is a mandatory travel form that travelers must complete before flying to or transiting through Canada. It collects travel and contact information and must be submitted prior to boarding. It is not a visa or travel authorization but is required for compliance with Canadian entry procedures.\n
