UK citizens do not currently need a visa to visit Austria for short stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period for tourism or business. However, once the new travel authorization system is operational, UK travelers will need to obtain an ETIAS authorization before entering Austria or any other Schengen Area country. The system is currently expected to be fully implemented by the end of 2026.
