I’m supposed to fly to Delhi tonight for my cousin’s wedding. I already have my eVisa printed and my bags packed, but I just saw a post saying foreign travelers now need an India e-Arrival Card too. I had no idea this even existed. I checked the government site and it says it has to be filled out within 72 hours before arrival. My flight leaves in 9 hours and I land tomorrow morning. Is it too late? Can I do it now? Will they stop me from boarding if I don’t have the e-Arrival Card? I’m freaking out because the airline didn’t mention this at check-in.

Don't panic, Lucy. You have enough time. The India e-Arrival Card can be completed very quickly with our rush processing service. Here is what you should do right now:

  1. Fill out our application form and choose the Rush option at checkout. This ensures our team reviews and submits your form immediately, usually within an hour or two.

  2. Pay our processing fee and double check all your information. We take care of the formatting, submission, and confirmation.

  3. Once processed, you will receive your QR confirmation code by email. Save it on your phone and print a copy to show at immigration when you arrive.

Our team monitors urgent applications around the clock, so even with a same-day flight, we can complete the process in time. During India’s transition period, both paper and digital forms are accepted, but filling it online now will save you stress when you land.

You do not need to cancel or delay your trip. Apply now using rush processing and you will have your e-Arrival Card ready before boarding.

Safe travels, Lucy, and enjoy the wedding.

I’m an OCI cardholder visiting family in Mumbai. Do I need to complete the form too?

Hi, Arjun! According to India’s immigration guidelines, OCI cardholders are currently exempt from filling out the e-Arrival Card. However, since this is a new system, a few airports may still ask OCI travelers to complete it. It’s best to double-check with your nearest embassy before you travel.

Yes, you’re right on time. The e-Arrival Card must be submitted within 72 hours before arrival, and once you complete it, you’ll receive a QR code confirmation by email. Save it digitally or print it, immigration officers may ask to see it when you land.

I already have my India eVisa approved. Do I still need to fill out this new e-Arrival Card?

October 3, 2025
Yes, you do. The e-Arrival Card is separate from your visa. It replaces the old paper immigration and customs form that used to be handed out on the plane. You’ll just fill it online within 72 hours before arrival. It’s quick, free, and helps speed up airport processing.

If the government already has my flight details, why do I need to do this again?

The e-Arrival Card serves as an official declaration, not just a data check. While airlines share your flight manifest, the form confirms your personal details, travel purpose, and health or customs declarations. It’s legally required and helps immigration pre-screen travelers before they arrive.
