Kazakhstan and Cambodia sign visa waiver agreement

Kazakhstan and Cambodia have agreed to waive visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official passports under a new bilateral agreement.

According to an announcement on the Kazakhstan Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, the deal was signed at Cambodia's foreign affairs ministry.

Kanat Tumysh, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Vietnam who also represents the country in Cambodia, signed on behalf of Kazakhstan. Eat Sophea, Cambodia's Acting Foreign Minister, signed for the Cambodian side.

Facilitating government engagement

The deal represents a milestone in relations between the two nations. By removing visa barriers for officials, the agreement is designed to encourage more frequent exchanges between government bodies and promote closer collaboration at the institutional level.

Following the signing, representatives from both countries expressed optimism about the direction of their bilateral relationship and committed to pursuing further dialogue and joint initiatives across various sectors.
